Filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj has composed music for many noted films like Maachis, Satya, Chachi 420, Omkara, Kaminey and Ishqiya. But he has always been very choosy to sign a movie as a composer. Now, filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has signed Vishal to compose music for his upcoming film 'Milte Hain'. Moreover, Gupta has been able to rope in Gulzar for writing the lyrics.
The film will star Vidya Balan in the female lead role and Gulzar’s daughter Meghna will be directing it. Vishal usually composes music for his own film but he has agreed to score music for another filmmaker after a long time.
The credit goes to Gulzar, who has brought Gupta and Vishal together for this film. Speaking to the media, Gupta was quoted saying that he has been a great fan of Vishal’s music starting from his first composition. He claimed to have followed all the music composed by this multi-talented personality.
Vishal has not scored a full fledged music album for any other director for long time with exception in cases of No Smoking and U Me Aur Hum. This has encouraged Gupta to sign him as composer in his film.
Gupta is now searching for a male lead to play opposite Vidya Balan.
