Washington, (ANI): Angelina Jolie’s ex hubby Billy Bob Thornton has revealed that he is still in talking terms with the actress. The two were married for three years, and even though they showed their affections by wearing viles of each other’s blood around their necks, they ended up divorcing in 2003.
“We talk every now and then, she seems to be doing very well directing her own movie, which I am so proud of her for,” HollywoodLife.com quoted Billy Bob, as saying at the Disney On Ice, Starlight Children’s Foundation and AEG’s Season of Giving event Dec. 15 in Los Angeles.
“I always thought she should do that, writing and directing. She’s real smart, and very creative, and I think it’s a great job for her,” he added.

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences have announced the list of the 41 best songs scored in Hollywood ventures this year. According to reports, like the category of the best special effects in a movie, this list too will be shortened and cut down before the final nominations are announced on the 25th of next month.
The Oscars are scheduled to go on stage on the 27th of February next year. Reports from Hollywood suggest that the selected songs will be played before the voting panel of the Music Branch of the Oscars in Los Angeles on the 6th of January, and it is this panel, which will round up on the best songs to be featured in the final Oscar nominations.
To succeed to the final stage of the Oscar nominations, a song will have to show good music and lyrics and both will have to be original and relevant to the situation in which it is used in the film. The list, which has been announced by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences places three songs from the film Burlesque among the top five positions in the Best Original Song category.
Meanwhile, the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood is already making the necessary preparations to host the 83rd edition of the most prestigious movie award event in the world. This year, Hollywood actors Anne Hathaway and James Franco will be the hosts for the Oscar evening.

The actress insisted that the rumours that she is preparing to file for divorce and move to Australia are untrue, reports the Daily Express. She has blast the reports, revealing she has taken no steps towards divorce and is staying in the U.K.
“Bored now of silly speculations: no one is divorcing anyone yet, no one is fighting over money and I have no plans to go to Australia. Enough,” she posted on her Twitter page. The couple’s relationship hit the headlines when it was reported that the actress had spent two nights at a London hotel with cricket ace Shane Warne last week.
The actress has been at the centre of speculation that she is set to rush through a divorce and is planning to keep all of her own money. There have also been rumours she is keen to move to Australia to be closer to her alleged new love interest.

Movie Review: Kandahar is one of the most awaited films from the Mollywood industry this year not only because it deals with a hard hitting storyline of the true incident of the hijack of the Indian Airlines flight 814, but also because it brings together two powerhouse actors from Indian cinema Mohanlal and Amitabh Bachchan.
Although the hijacking incident took place when the Indian Airlines Airbus A300 was flying from Kathmandu to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, the Major Ravi project has been primarily shot in the cities of Ooty and New Delhi in India. However all aerial shots showing the aeroplane midair have been taken in Russia. While the performances are wonderful, it is the locations which have taken our breath away.
Every actor, especially Mohanlal, Amitabh Bachchan and Ganesh Venkatraman do justice to their roles and the fact that Big B did not accept a single rupee for the project in spite of being offered a huge amount just goes to show how much these actors are dedicated towards films that bear a social message. Mohanlal doubles up as producer of ‘Kandahar’ and going by the critics’ reviews, he will surely recover his money very quickly.
The surprise element in ‘Kandahar’ is the music of the Malayalam movie. Shamir Tandon’s compositions will touch your heart. Every song is aptly placed in the film. Though the narrative style may seem to drag in certain portions of the film, it is good news for the Kollywood and Bollywood that ‘Kandahar’ will soon be dubbed in Hindi and Tamil.
