Blue Oranges is based on the characters Kevin, Shalini and Nilesh. Kevin and Shalini were excellent painters and they were in love. When differences in their social standings came in their way, they had decided to run away.

That fateful day Kevin waited for Shalini but she did not arrive. Kevin left Goa all by himself. Eight years later they meet again in the streets of Mumbai. A few short hours later Shalini is murdered. Kevin is arrested from the murder spot. All circumstantial evidence is against Kevin.

The commissioner of Police pays Nilesh Bhargav a visit. Nilesh had earlier assisted the police in many cases in the past and had solved them successfully. Due to his personal vested interest, he wants Nilesh to carry out a parallel investigation to solve the Shalini murder case.

Nilesh strongly feels that Shalini's last painting has an important story to tell.

A collection of five horror stories, from the studio that made SHUTTER, DORM, BODY #19, ALONE, COMING SOON, 4BIA. By Thailand’s most talented horror film directors- Banjong Pisanthanakun (Shutter, Alone, 4BIA – In the Middle), Paween Purijitpanya (Body, 4BIA- Tit for Tat), Songyos Sugmakanan (Dorm, Hormones), Parkpoom Wongpoom (Shutter, Alone, 4BIA – Last Fright), and a new director Visute Poolvoralaks the man behind the success of Shutter, Alone, 4BIA, and Coming Soon.

Novice - Fourteen year-old Pey committed a crime, so his mom decides to hide him in a Buddhist monastery to escape punishment. However, something deep down inside is bothering him. Will Pey's Karma catch up with him?

Backpackers - Upon graduation, a young Japanese couple decides to hitchhike around Thailand. They manage to get a ride on a truck, but suspect something strange in the truck's trailer. What exactly is in the back of the truck?

In the End – Four boys are filming an upcoming horror movie. As they are shooting their last scene, one of the actresses dies mysteriously. To finish the film, they have to have her complete her scene, DEAD or NOT.

Salvage – A car dealer makes her living by refurbishing used cars, sometimes with horrific pasts. One night after closing, she discovers her son is missing. Could these cars have memories of their tragic histories?

Ward – A young man is in hospital for a motorcycle accident. He is moved into a room with an old man on life support. When strange things start happening in the middle of the night, he starts to wonder. Is he really alone?

With stories seemingly ripped from the headlines, GTH’s masters of slick, suspenseful horror are back with Phobia 2 -– five stories that range from the chillingly moralistic to downright hilarious.

With the Thai title Haa Phrang (5 ?????), literally "five crossroads", the result is a more cohesive and even-toned effort than the first set of short thrillers, last year’s hit 4bia (See Phrang). All are tied together by the spinning wheels of a conveyance of one type or another.

First out of the gate is Novice by 4bia returnee director Paween Purijitpanya. It's his best work yet, with the cartoonish special effects favored by the young director of Body #19 dialled down. The result is an effective and pretty awesome to start the movie off.

Jirayu La-ongmanee, the child star of Love of Siam and Naresuan I, stars as Pey, a fugitive motorbike-racing, rock-throwing windshield smasher sent into hiding in a creepy forest temple. Pey chafes at having his head shaved and taking vows, but even worse for this young grasshopper is the hunger he feels in the middle of the night.

An older monk (Ray MacDonald) tries to mentor the boy, but he’s too rebellious and his sin is too great. Karma and the howling, fearsome hungry ghosts of the forest have other ideas for Pey.

As a first-time director, veteran studio exec Visute Poolvoralaks applies a sure and steady hand to the next segment, Ward. Co-scripted by Sophon Sakdaphisit and Parkpoom Wongpoom (co-writers of the GTH horror hits Shutter and Alone), the story features another young biker (singer-actor Dan Worrawech), who has both legs in casts. Immobilised, he’s put into a hospital room with a comatose man. It's almost like a private room, a nurse helpfully tells him. The oldtimer is due to be unplugged soon, but that night Dan finds that grandpappy is actually pretty spry. Thus begins a struggle for his youthful soul.

Franchise newcomer Songyos Sugmakanan again teams up with his Fan Chan, Dorm and Hormones star Charlie Trairat in his darkest role yet in Backpackers. A pair of Japanese hitchhikers join Charlie and the burly driver of a 10-wheel truck for a ride down a remote highway. The truck’s contents soon reveal themselves by thumping around in back. The human cargo is showing ill effects of being bundled into an airless compartment. But each person is also carrying something secret inside them –- a substance that turns them into something fearsome. Oh heck, you've probably already seen the trailer haven't you? They're zombies!

Next stop is Parkpoom’s Salvage and a used-car lot run by Nuch (singer-actress Nicole Theriault), who assures a pair of customers that the Mercedes sedan they’re looking at was only used to run errands and is in perfect shape. The ruse is up when an angry customer arrives and yells at the businesswoman for selling a car that has been wrecked. At the close of the business day Nuch is alone at the carlot with just her young son. He's playing hide and seek among the rows of cars. What the young mother finds instead are the mutilated, gore-drenched spirits that are rising from all the wrecked cars, and they can’t be easily driven away.

Finally it’s In the End, Shutter and Alone co-director Banjong Pisanthanakun’s laugh-filled, self-deprecating parody of the notion that there are ghosts on horror-movie sets. Star Marsha Wattanapanich meets the challenge head on, portraying a two-faced diva-like caricature of herself on the set of Alone 2 -– never mind that everyone died in the first one.

But the real stars are those four guys again -- the happy campers from 4bia -- Wiwat Kongrasri, Pongsatorn Jongwilas, Nattapong Chartpong and Kantapat Permpoonpatcharasuk -- are back, playing clownish members of the film crew. An added element is a wheezing, coughing actress who is thought by everyone to actually be dead.

This leads to the typical running around and screaming of Thai comedy-horrors, but the gag is they are struggling to come up with a new way to end a horror movie. Do they succeed? Well, see for yourself and find out

Samson (Vic Sotto), an internet cafe owner is searching for a girlfriend online. He asks his friend Tot (Jose Manalo) to help him. Tot used his own photo to chat without Samson’s knowledge. While chatting he gets to know Paula (Paula Taylor), who chats together with her cousin, Bunny (Manilyn Reynes).

After getting to know each other both agree to meet, with the real Samson and Paula meeting for the first time. Two strangers become lovers after their first meeting with Tot and Bunny feeling jealous of their relationship. Will Samson eventually marries Paula? What is the fate of Tot and Bunny?

Vic Sotto’s new movie didn’t actually spark any interest for us right from the very beginning. Reason for this is for the past few years, Vic Sotto has starred in films that are literally trash but nonetheless, makes a lot of money. For instance, he always has an entry every year in the Metro Manila film festival that garners millions in sales but we do not necessarily consider them quality films. Most of these films have stupid and forced plots while brimming with advertisements aplenty - talk about S-E-L-L-O-U-T. It is for this reason that we do not exactly expect a great experience from "Love on Line". But hey, we can never say, maybe Vic Sotto will be able to bring in some laughs that will appeal not only to his supporters but to everyone else and finally learn that not only do the quantity of viewers matter but actually the quality of the film as well. Read our take of the movie after the jump.

Tot(Jose Manalo) spends a lot of time using BookFace, a social networking site wherein he has high hopes of finding the girl of his dreams. This is where he becomes friends with Paula(Paula Taylor), a girl from Bangkok vacationing in the Philippines. Unknown to Tot though that it is not actually Paula who he is socializing with but her ugly cousin played by Manilyn Reynes. They agree to meet up in person but the catch is Tot used Samson’s(Vic Sotto) profile picture. Samson agrees to go with Tot to meet Paula but Samson becomes attracted to her that he does not want to reveal the truth. Things get complicated when Tot uses magic that makes him and Samson switch bodies three hours a day from 6PM to 9PM.

We do not actually know where to begin expressing our frustrations about this film. First, this is the ultimate example of shallow comedy that we have seen in a lot of Vic Sotto movies in recent memory. We were hoping that his last movie with the king of comedy Dolphy will showcase better material but similar to that movie, this was a failed attempt to be humorous. In fact, watching Eat Bulaga and Vic Sotto’s spontaneous comedic lines in the noontime show may actually be funnier than the movie. It is not actually a surprise that Filipinos would rather watch Hollywood films these days because they get better value for their hard earned cash. This movie was poorly made, from the editing, to the film quality and even the inconsistent scenes. The story had nothing original and featured a lot of confusing and unnecessary scenes and side plots. Characters/Extras will also pop in and pop out - characters that actually do not contribute anything to the story whatsoever. Love on Line is a mess and to sum it all up, unless you are a big fan of Vic Sotto, stay far, far away from this one.

Nan wants to get serious with Jie this time but sadly Jie decides to leave her after a short term relationship. Does Jie decided to leave Nan for good? Will Nan accept Wen’s love? Who will Nan choose in the end?

I'm not generally a fan of EEG propaganda movies star vehicles, but the simple truth is that I had f@#$ all else on my dance card for the evening and I really do enjoy dinners with people who, like myself, were stupid committed enough to Hong Kong cinema to move here.

That last remark is totally unfair, because I consider myself far and away the dumbest of the bunch. The only signs of poor intellect I can detect in them is their continued tolerance of me. I must, on occasion, be somehow useful.

Well, that makes a lovely transition, because even before the movie started, my friends were encouraging me to 'Dynast-ize' this upscale theatre by talking back to what we knew was going to be a contender for one of the more laughable offerings this year.

They actually wanted me to talk smack to/during the film.

And boy did I run my mouth. I said terrible, mean, awful things, to the extent that at the film's emotional climax I blurted out a prediction of pedophilia.

Do you notice that I make sick, ugly jokes, but still don't have spoilers? Trust me with your viewing habits, but not your naked proclivities...

Nearly everything in this movie was ripe for ridicule, and I even went after the things that weren't ripe yet. I think I actually talked more than some of the main characters...

I felt very happy that I had entertained my friends in the theatre and, occasionally, the other 6 people in there.

And I actually must admit, I didn't hate this movie. It was pedestrian, overwrought, laughably predictable, horribly acted, written, and directed, and it made me feel very old and white, so far was I from the target demographic.

But this film was fun because it had so many narrative and dramatic hangnails which I could grab hold of and tear off a comic morsel.

The last crap film I watched was so well-manicured and such a repository of proletarian dullardry that I was reduced to hurling invective at it.

Buppah Rahtree (Chermarn Boonyasak) is back once again! This time her spirit merges with a little razor blade girl called Pla (Nuttawan Saksiri) who got killed in Room 609. Meanwhile, the apartment’s landlady (Chantana Kittiyapan) and mini casino operator (Kom Chuanchuen) are organizing an illegal gambling nearby the apartment block.

Rung (Mario Muarer), the young cartoonist who is a neighbour downstairs is eager to pursue Buppah for her tutorial help in his studies but got rejected due to unsuitable time. Once the police discover about the illegal gambling in the apartment, one policeman from Hong Kong is assigned to catch the culprits involved. This time Buppah, Pla and a corpse wrapped in white cloth is terrorizing Oscar Apartment.

This prompted the landlady to hire a Cambodian shaman (Somlek Sakdikul) to deal with the ghost spirits. What is the outcome of the battle between the shaman and the ghost spirits? Will the casino operator be caught by the police in the end? And will Rung be successful in pursuing Buppah’s love?
Apartment 609 is still haunted by the ghost of a spurned young woman (Chermarn "Ploy" Boonyasak). And this causes problems for a bumbling gang of bank robbers whose loot has somehow found its way to that room. Yuthert, who did Sai Lor Fah (Pattaya Maniac) and Killer Tattoo is up to his usual tricks of putting a cast of comedians, including Somchai Saktikul (who apparently as agreed to star in every single Thai comedy film made in 2004 and 2005), Supakon Srisawat, Phan Rojanarungsri and Bunpoj Weerarat, through their paces, combining elements from the action, horror and crime genres with slapstick. Thai hearthrob Kris Srepoomseth returns as the college boy Ake. For seducing Ratree, he had both his legs amputated. He’s in for more disfigurement in this episode. Pitchanart "May" Sakhakorn (Butterfly in Grey, Sai Lor Fah) also stars.
Yuthlert Sippapak is being incremental in his installments for his Buppha Rahtree franchise, with fourth film in the series following closely on the third that was released earlier this year.

Buppha Rahtree 3.2: Rahtree's Revenge (?????????? 3.2) opens in Thai cinemas on August 20, and a full-length trailer has been posted at YouTube. It's embedded below. Deknang has its customary page of posters up. There's also a shorter teaser trailer, if you're into the whole brevity thing.

So there's more of that creepy little girl from Buppha Rahtree 3.1: Rahtree Reborn while Buppha herself (Chermarn Boonyasak) is getting dicey with a straight razor. Mario Maurer is back, and he's all bloody. The comedians, the mean landlady and the gamblers are still there. A welcome return is the comical pair of policemen from the first two Buppha Rahtree installments, plus a familiar monk and references to another Thai film.
