Tere Bin Laden Synopsis:
Tere Bin Laden movie is a tongue-in-cheek comedy about an ambitious young news reporter from Pakistan who is desperate to migrate to the US in pursuit of the American dream. His repeated attempts to immigrate are shot down as his visa is always rejected.
But when things couldn't look worse he comes across an Osama bin laden look alike. Ali then hatches a scheme to produce a fake Osama video and sell it to news channels as a breakthrough scoop! Unfortunately there are serious ramifications as the White House gets involved and dispatches an overzealous secret agent on Ali's trail.

Cape Town, July 9: Spanish start striker David Villa, who is on the verge of leading Spain to World Cup glory, had almost faced a right leg amputation as a four-year-old after a horrific break in his femur.
Villa had suffered the accident while playing football, when a much older kid fell on his leg.
The Doctors had then feared that they might have to amputate the leg, but miraculously, Villa escaped the worst. But, he had to spend six months in with plaster all over his right leg.
His father, Jose Manuel, a miner, said that after Villa recovered from the horrific accident, he used to spend two hours teaching his right-footed son to kick the ball with his left foot.
“When I came home from the mine we always spent two hours together. I would pass the ball to him and he would kick it with his left foot,” The Sun quoted Manuel, as saying, according to ANI reports.
“I think for that reason he is now equally good with both feet,” he added.
Talking about his father’s contribution in his evolution as a world-class footballer, Villa said: “My dad would be there throwing me the ball over and over, making me kick it with my left leg when my right was in plaster after breaking it.”
Villa said his dad never missed his training session and he had never been alone on the football pitch.
Against the odds, Villa started his professional career with Sporting de Gijón and made his debut in 2000 in Spain's Segunda División.
Spain will play Sunday’s World Cup final against Netherlands at Johannesburg’s Soccer City. Villa has 5 goals in the tournament so far and stands a good chance to win the World Cup honor playing for his Spanish side and the Golden boot honor.

Who is Vikramaditya Motwane? Everyone seems to be asking this question.
Someone, who has scored big time at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival, his debut film Udaan, produced by Anuraag Kashyap - director of the cult hit Dev D, along with UTV productions, is selected to be screened in the "Un Certain Regard" category at the festival. Udaan is not only the sole Hindi film to be featured in this category; it is also the only Indian film to make it to the prominent list in the last 7 years. The last movie that made its presence felt in the category was Murali Nair’s Arimpara way back in 2003.
Udaan marks a prestigious moment in the history of Indian cinema and is surely a dream debut for Motwane as Bollywood movies showcased at Cannes have been few and far between.
According to the official synopsis released by UTV motion pictures, Udaan speaks about Rohan (played by Rajat Barmecha), belonging to a small industrial town of Jamshedpur, who is abandoned for eight years in boarding school. Rohan finds his life being closeted with an authoritarian father and a younger half brother who he didn’t even know existed.
Rohan is forced to work against his dream of being a writer and is instead made to study engineering and work in his father’s steel factory. The movie showcases how Rohan tackles the innate struggle of handling family responsibilities or chasing one’s own passion. Would he give in to a future decided by his father? Or would he forge his own life out of given circumstances and pursue his dream of being a writer?
The cast also includes Ronit Roy, Aayan Boradia and Ram Kapoor. The film’s music is composed by Amit Trivedi (from the Dev D fame) and lyricist is Amitabh Bhattachharya.
Motwane has earlier assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his earlier projects such as Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) and Devdas (2002). He also has been the screenwriter for Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007) and Dev D (2009). Motwane has heavy experiential knowledge rolled up his sleeve. Undoubtedly his directorial debut film is already being spoken in high regard by the film critics and is enjoying rave reviews in its hometown.

Johannesburg, July 9: FIFA has announced that British referee Howard Webb will take charge of the finals between Spain and Netherlands at Soccer City in Johannesburg
Webb, a Premier League regular, will be the first English man to run the final since Jack Taylor in 1974. He is also the first referee to take charge of the World Cup and Champions League finals in the same year.
However, the Spanish camp reportedly was little worried hearing the announcement as Webb had officiated the Spain's opening match against Switzerland, with the Spanish claiming they had been denied two penalties.
The 38-year-old will be backed by English assistants Darren Cann and Michael Mullarkey.
According to guardain.co.uk, Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore praised Webb's appointment. He was glad to hear the news and added that the trio had a fantastic season officiating in the Premier league season and the hard work and professionalism of the trio English referees week in week out has helped them to finish off with the ultimate ticket to officiate the FIFA World Cup finals.
Reports suggest that the tickets for the finals has already been sold out and about 750 million people worldwide are expected to watch the game.

One can well expect Trisha to deliver in her debut Bollywood outing Khatta Meetha. After all she is not quite a newbie in the industry and already has close to 35 films to her credit down South. In the industry for more than 7 years now, she has seen quite a lot and is pretty much established. Now that she has got a Bollywood launch with none other than Akshay Kumar as a co-star cum producer and Priyadarshan as a director, it couldn’t have been better than that. Still, considering the fact that Priyadarshan- Akshay is a tried and tested ‘jodi’, one wonders if she ever got scared about being sidelined.
“Yes, eventually this is Akshay’s film but then I don’t mind that. Many of my predecessors had some of the best kick starts but couldn’t travel much distance. I hope to make a point in Khatta Meetha even though it may not be a conventional launch”, admits Trisha who plays the role of a collector who locks horns with ex-boyfriend Akshay Kumar, a road contractor, in the film.
With the basic plot line cutting down the romance angle, doesn’t she ever feel that she could have rather started off in Bollywood with a love story? “This is my first film and I can’t be too choosy; let’s admit that”, says Trisha with a smile. “For a start, I have to be seen with big star and a director who gives guaranteed box office return. I guess this is good enough to make your first move. I won’t say that there is no love story at all in the film. It may not be there for the complete two and a half hours of the film but there is a thread of love story between me and Akshay that plays through the film.”
One hears that as a producer of the film, Akshay went extra long to make sure that she was being taken care of well. What does Trisha have to say about that? “That's right”, she confirms. “It was quite funny that despite being a producer, there was no producer-like interference from him on the sets. I didn’t see any such traits from Akshay. He was more like a co-star all the time and made sure that I give my best for the role.”

Spanish Industry Minister Miguel Sebastian has called for the creature to be given an "immediate" free transfer to Spain to "ensure his protection."
Stung by Paul's "treachery" at picking Spain over Germany in the semi-final, some sections of the 350,000-strong crowd watching the game on giant screens in Berlin sang anti-octopus songs.
The honour of Paul's mother was called into question, according to witnesses.
Friday's prediction is expected to be the last for Paul, who in octopus terms is a pensioner, at the grand old age of two-and-a-half. Octopuses generally live three years at the latest.

Iran will not stone woman to death after outcry

Iran has announced that a woman will not be stoned to death after being convicted of adultery following an international outcry, a paper reported Friday.
The Islamic republic's London embassy issued a statement, saying "according to information from the relevant judicial authorities in Iran [Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani] will not be executed by stoning," according to Britain's Times daily.
But the statement did not say whether the 43-year-old would be spared or executed by hanging instead, added the paper.
Human rights group Amnesty International has said she was convicted in 2006 or 2007 and has previously received a flogging of 99 lashes.
The United States and Britain have led global condemnation of the planned stoning execution.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague on Thursday labelled the punishment "medieval", saying it would "disgust and appal" the rest of the world.
"I'm appalled by reports of the imminent execution," he said.
"I think that stoning is a medieval punishment that has no place in the modern world and the continued use of such a punishment in Iran demonstrates in our view a blatant disregard for human rights."
"I think if this punishment were carried out, it would disgust and appal the watching world," he added.
In Washington, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said: "Stoning as a means of execution is tantamount to torture. It's barbaric and an abhorrent act."
"We condemn in the strongest terms the use of the practice of stoning anywhere it occurs as a form of legalized death by torture," he said.
A host of prominent names from the worlds of politics and arts signed an open letter condemning the planned stoning Friday in the Times, which has been running a campaign to halt the execution,
Signatories included former US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, three former British foreign ministers, and Jose Ramos-Horta, East Timorese president and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate.
American actors Robert De Niro and Robert Redford also signed, as did French actress Juliette Binoche and French philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy.
"On top of what she has already endured, Ms Ashtiani faces a gruesome and agonising death," said the letter.
"We urge the Iranian Government to overturn this unjust sentence and reconsider Ms Ashtiani's case."

Paul the "psychic" octopus, who has become a global star after correctly forecasting all six of Germany's World Cup games, will predict the final, but only if his hefty workload has not exhausted him.
The mollusc oracle, who stunned Germany by tipping Spain in the semi-final - spot-on as it turned out - will on Friday make his prediction for the third-place Germany match with Uruguay, a spokesman for his aquarium said.
It comes as the Spanish government called for the soccer soothsayer to be placed under protection after German threats to eat him.

Paul the octopus decides in favour of Spain.



Paul's handlers will follow the now familiar routine. Two boxes will be lowered into his tank, each containing a tasty morsel of food and the flags of the opposing teams.
Whichever box Paul wrenches open is adjudged to be the winner.
Afterwards, Paul will be offered boxes with Spanish and Dutch flags, the two teams in Sunday's showcase final, but only if he is deemed not too tired and still hungry, the spokesman said.

Environment and Fisheries Minister Elena Espinosa suggested there be a moratorium on going after Paul.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, a mother of two who is facing the punishment of stoning to death in Iran, on charges of adultery.

An Iranian woman will not be stoned to death for adultery, after her lawyer's blog posts sparked a global campaign to save her life.
But 12 other women and three men still face a death sentence by stoning in the theocractic Middle East country, Britain's Guardian newspaper reported.
Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani, a 43-year-old Kurdish woman, was facing imminent execution before an apparent last-minute reprieve.
The Iranian Embassy in London said Ashtiani would no longer face death by stoning, according to Channel 4 News and The Guardian newspaper. A message seeking comment from the embassy was not immediately returned, and it was not immediately clear if Ashtiani still faced death by other means.
"According to information from the relevant judicial authorities in Iran, she will not be executed by stoning punishment," the embassy said in the statement reported by Channel 4 News and The Guardian.
Ashtiani's face, framed in a black chador, stared from the front page of The Times of London on Thursday, while The Guardian carried an interview with Ashtiani's children — 22-year-old Sajad and 17-year-old Farideh — who described the sentence as a nightmare. Protests are planned in front of the Iranian Embassy over the weekend.
Stoning is a "medieval punishment which has no role in the modern world", British Foreign Secretary William Hague told reporters Thursday. "If the punishment is carried out, it will disgust and appall the watching world," Hague said in a media conference with Turkey's foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu in London.
He appealed to Tehran to halt the planned execution.
Celebrities including Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, and Robert Redford have already signed on to the campaign to push for her release, according to The Times, which also quoted US Senator John Kerry and Howard Berman, the chairman of the House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Committee, as expressing their disgust at the sentence.
Even Lindsay Lohan publicised the case, becoming one of hundreds of Twitter users rallying the online world to Ashtiani's defence.
Under Iran's Islamic laws, adultery is the only capital offense punishable by stoning. A man is usually buried up to his waist, while a woman is buried up to her neck. Those carrying out the verdict then pelt the convict with stones until he or she dies.
Stoning was widely imposed in the years following the revolution, and even though Iran's judiciary still regularly hands down such sentences, they are often converted to fines. The last known stoning was carried out in 2008, although the government rarely confirms that such punishments have been meted out.
"It's possible that the numbers are much higher than has been reported," said Faraz Sanei, an Iran researcher at Human Rights Watch, one of several groups publicizing Ashtiani's case.
The rights group said she was first convicted in May of 2006 of having an "illicit relationship" with two men following the death of her husband — for which a court in Tabriz, in north-western Iran, sentenced her to 99 lashes. But later that year she was also convicted of adultery, despite having retracted a confession which she claims was made under duress.
That Ashtiani's plight has received unusually wide play might be attributable to the determined work of Germany-based activist Mina Ahadi as well as to the internet savvy of Ashtiani's lawyer, Mohammad Mostafaei, a prolific blogger, Sanei said.
In one of his recent posts, Mostafaei warned that his client could be executed at any time without notice, Sanei said.
Davutoglu, the Turkish foreign minister, told reporters in the British capital that his country would raise the issue with Iran.
