Plot Summary;

Responsibility clashes with freedom as a young New York City couple experiences two decidedly different holidays in this drama from filmmaking duo David Siegel and Scott McGehee (Suture, The Deep End). It’s the Fourth of July, and … Read More…Kate and Bobby are struggling to make a decision: do they stick with tradition and spend the weekend with Kate’s family, or do they set out on their own for a spontaneous adventure? After making their initial decision, an alternate narrative emerges to show just what would have happened had they chosen to do otherwise. While the decision-making process may seem mundane, the implications of each choice are profound. Sure, a holiday with the family doesn’t seem nearly as exciting as an impromptu romantic trip, but that doesn’t mean it will be any less dramatic. As the stories diverge and a what if scenario becomes reality, it soon becomes apparent how much one seemingly minor decision can ultimately affect the rest of our lives,Watch online Movie Trailer free Uncertainty English Hollywood film.The film Directed byScott Mcgehee .

Uncertainty Synopsis:

From the filmmaking duo behind THE DEEP END and SUTURE, Scott McGehee and David Siegel’s UNCERTAINTY is a stylish genre-hybrid that showcases two incredible young talents, Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 DAYS OF SUMMER) and Lynn Collins (WOLVERINE) in an off-beat indie thrill ride. UNCERTAINTY thrusts a young couple, Bobby and Kate (Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Lynn Collins), into two alternate storylines on the same summer day in New York City. A flip of a coin sends the pair in two opposite directions – an afternoon in Brooklyn forces them to confront self-discovery, loss and the value of family, and in Manhattan the day suddenly takes a turn into a break-neck tale of intrigue, suspense and murder.

What if? A couple at a crossroads in their relationship, facing, one fateful July 4, the seemingly simple decision between a family barbecue or dim sum in Chinatown. Splitting the tale in two, exploring what happens as the couple follow both options and the consequences of making a choice–or not.
Uncertainty Hollywood Movie Review :

I was in the audience of the premiere screening of this film yesterday in Toronto. The movie was a wonderful combination of romance, drama, action, and plenty of subtle humour.

The plot, which alternates between two distinct locations (Manhattan and Brooklyn/Queens), was well designed to keep audiences engaged. The concept of uncertainty and the possible consequences of all decisions was well presented throughout the movie. However, the plot and central themes may not have resulted in such a great film had it not been for the acting talents of the two stars (Joseph Gordon-Levitt andLynn Collins – both present for the screening and subsequent Q&A). The filming for this movie was unique because while there was a fully developed script, it contained no dialogue and the actors improvised it during filming. They did an excellent job and the characters were very believable and the acting appeared very natural. Overall, the unique plot, talented cast, and creative filming style combined to create a wonderful film, which I hope will be appreciated by a much wider audience in the near future.

The Plot Summary;

Different forms of trouble bring together eight seemingly disparate women over the course of one day in Los Angeles.

After a series of diminishing returns from the world of horror/thrillers, Sebastian Gutierrez seems on the brink of reinvention with a Almodóvar-inspired sex comedy that situates his real-life girlfriend, Carla Gugino, smack in the middle the manic/camp proceedings. Outfitted with a handful of actresses we’d love to see more often, and goosed by cameos from Josh Brolin and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, we hope this well-reviewed L.A. romp breaks away from the indie pack and convincesGutierrez to take a long break from the big studios.Watch online Movie Trailer free Women in Trouble English Hollywood film.The film Directed by Sebastian Gutierrez.

Love Hurts Hollywood Movie Review :

The story centers on a newly separated father having to learn how to date again with help from his teenage son who himself dreams of conquering one girl’s heart.
In this painfully funny and deeply moving film, Ben Bingham (Grant) has slipped into a fossilized middle-age, unlike his vibrant wife Amanda (Moss). When she finally leaves him, Ben refuses to get out of his pajamas until his popular 17 year-old son Justin (Pacar) takes over. He reinvents Ben’s “look” and pushes him out into the social scene. Before Ben knows what is happening, he is the most popular single man in town… pursued by his nurse (Elfman), his trainer (Garofalo) and karaoke-singing twins. Things change when Justin falls in love for the first time and Ben is forced to refocus, recapture his humanity, his heart, and most importantly his wife… who is now with another man.

Plot:
Dr. Rainville, an aging country doctor with a deep attachment to his patients, is about to retire and is looking for a successor

In Theatres November 6, 2009 - La Donation (The Legacy) - Dr. Rainville, an aging country doctor with a deep attachment to his patients, is about to retire and is looking for a successor. Jeanne Dion, an emergency room doctor from Montreal, agrees to go to Normétal to replace him for a few weeks, with no plans for an extended stay. When Dr. Rainville suddenly dies, Jeanne must decide if she'll take over the job, and its inherent responsibilities, for the long-term.

La Donation Canadian Movie :

A dedicated country doctor in the town Normetal, Dr. Rainville, looks for someone to take over his practice. Jeanne Dion, an doctor living in Montreal, replies to his advertisement. She spends a week accompanying him on his home visits, to hospices and hospitals, and observes his close relationships to his patients.

In the evenings, he tells her the family histories of his patients. After he goes away, she gets to know the town and its people in whose hard lives the doctor has played a special role. Life has been tough for the townspeople as the local mine that was the town’s lifeblood was shut down thirty years ago. Jeanne gradually becomes drawn to the region and finds in her patients a dignity, honesty and trust she never experienced in Montreal. Some months later, although she has become attached to her new patients, Jeanne still hesitates to accept the doctor’s proposition as she doubts her ability to assume such a commitment to the community

La Donation is a deeply emotional and stirring film from Quebec auteur Bernard Émond. The final work in his humanist trilogy (following La Neuvaine and Contre toute espérance), it expands on the series' themes of faith, fate and healing. Émond's graceful script enhances his distinctively subtle visual approach and is aided by a quiet but moving score from Robert Marcel Lepage. Powering the movie are the stunning and knowing performances by Godin and Guilbault, two of Quebec's finest actors, who are perfectly at home in Émond's filmic landscape.

Inspired partially by Émond's own love for the picturesque region, as well as legendary filmmaker Gilles Groulx's documentary on the town (simply titled Normétal), La Donation is a remembrance of a more pristine past, when small towns thrived on money from natural resources, and doctors made house calls. Émond urges that connections be remade between people and place, and more urgently between each other, in order for us to recognize once again the beauty and shared bond of existence.

A movie very much about a Canada and Quebec long left to black-and-white documentaries, La Donation proposes that these times are not lost but simply misplaced in the rush toward “progress” and urbanization; for them to come back, we need only to pause, look and embrace our surroundings. La Donation is a movie that moves the soul, and in doing so, may move us to return to a more human age.

Synopsis

Homosexuality in the Orthodox community is the subject of a very dark and disturbing Israeli film, Eyes Wide Open (Einaym Pkuhot) which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Aaron Fleishman (Zohar Shtrauss) is a father of 4 who takes over the family kosher butcher shop following the death of his father. Aarons observant world is turned upside down with the arrival of a young Yeshiva student Ezri (Ran Danker). When Aaron and Ezri begin spending time together, Aaron is quickly ostracized within the Orthodox community. Confronted by Rabbi Vaisben (Tzahi Grad), Aaron declares he was dead before meeting Ezri. We see how quickly social control turns violent and ugly in the Orthodox community when Ezri is forced to leave. Eyes Wide Open is set during a dark and wet winter in Jerusalem. Rain and the darkness of night are used as metaphors for the ritual of cleansing and the omnipresent pressure to conform in the Orthodox community. It has a strong cast and delivers a powerful message in a country divided by debates about the growing influence of the Orthodox Jewish community

Einaym Pkuhot Israel Film Review :

“Eyes Wide Open” tells the story of a married Orthodox Jewish father who falls in love with a homeless Yeshiva student. When he hires him to work as his apprentice at his butcher shop, they form a close friendship which eventually develops into an emotional and sexual relationship. Being a devout religious man, he is torn between his family and devotion to God and his feelings for the student.

The film was chosen by the International Jury for this year, which includes Chairman Niki Reiser, Filip Peeters, Wang Quan’an, and Laszlo Nemes.

Other winners are: “Nathan Larson” for The Georges Delerue prize for Best Music; “Eran Merav (Zion and his Brother) for The SABAM prize for Best Script; and “Amor van Thomas Wangsmo” for Best European Short Film.

I attended the North American Premiere of "Eyes Wide Open" at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival. This is a somewhat provocative yet understated examination of what it's like to be gay in the Orthodox Jewish world. In his first feature, director Haim Tabakman, working from a Merav Doster script, introduces us to Aaron (Zohar Shtrauss) and Ezri (Ran Danker). Aaron runs a Kosher butcher shop that's been in the family for generations. Ezri is an outsider, already under suspicion for questionable behavior, who enters Aaron's world with possible intentions beyond purchasing a hunk of meat. There's a joke there but I'll resist. The cultural constraints placed upon gays, or anyone who is different, are painfully drawn out as the neighbors decide what actions to take. The Orthodox Jewish community sends in its own goons (enforcers of God?).

This character-driven film is haunting and poignant. Like many foreign films, natural lighting is predominant. The cinema verité style, without regard to shadows, is much more powerful than images in traditional Hollywood movies -- provided the images aren't too dark -- a problem I've seen here with some films. The score is used sparsely, only to punctuate the more emotional moments.

The pace is slow and deliberate, while long takes with little dialogue allow the actors to speak with their eyes, facial movements, and body language.
