Angelina Jolie Nude Drug Use Pic

NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN nude photos of Angelina Jolie – and pictures taken of the film beauty during an alleged 14-hour heroin binge – appeared overnight in a US gossip magazine.
Star magazine published the photos, taken from an unauthorised biography by Andrew Morton which is due for release next month.
One photo shows Jolie with black tape over her nipples, a dog leash around her neck and a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. A black and white shot taken from behind shows her on a bed wearing just a G-string and cowboy hat. Another shows her blindfolded.
Other photos show her during a marathon heroin-smoking bender, according to the Morton book.
The risque pictures were said to be from 1999 – before Jolie became a doting mother of six children.
She has admitted to using drugs in the past, reportedly once saying, “I hate heroin because I’ve been fascinated with it. I’m not immune, but I won’t do it now, at all.”

Jolie, 35, and partner Brad Pitt, 46, are parents of three biological children – Shiloh, four, and twins Knox and Vivienne, two – plus three adopted children: Maddox, nine, Pax, six, and Zahara, five.
Before settling down with children Jolie was known for her scandalous behaviour. She attended her first wedding – to British actor Jonny Lee Miller, in 1996 – in black rubber pants and a white shirt, on which she had written the groom’s name in her blood.
After their divorce in 1999 she married Billy Bob Thornton in 2000 and they famously wore each other’s blood in vials around their necks. But since divorcing Thorton in 2003 and adopting Maddox in 2002 she has softened her image.
The book which features the startling photos makes a host of shocking claims about the actress’ past and her relationship with Pitt.
“The photographs are a startling reminder to Angelina of a period in her life I’m sure she wants to forget, a shady piece of her history that she’s kept hidden away, even from Brad,” celebrity biographer Morton, author of Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography, told Star in its cover story.
The controversy hits as Jolie tours the globe promoting her new film Salt, which centres around the quest to capture a CIA agent suspected of being a Russian spy.

Movie Plot Summary:

Tells the true story of the the 1970 murder of Henry Marrow in a rural North Carolina town by Robert Teel and his sons, the aftermath of the murder and the eventual acquittal of the Teels by an all white jury, in spite of multiple eye witnesses to the murder.

Blood Done Sign My Name Review:
Based on Duke professor Timothy Tyson's titular memoir/recounting of the murder of an African-American Vietnam vet by three white men in Oxford, North Carolina, in 1970, Blood Done Sign My Name is an earnest, if inert, civil rights docudrama clearly shot on the cheap (many of the wigs appear to have been borrowed from the Black Dynamite set). The film opens with 10-year-old Tyson's preacher dad, Vernon (Rick Schroder, pleasingly paternal), trying to integrate his lily-white parish. Across town, Ben Chavis (Nate Parker) returns to the Tar Heel state to teach high school English, impressing the kids when he says he knew Stokely Carmichael. The parallel stories are dutiful, dull recapitulations of the call to righteous leadership: Chavis (who would preside over the NAACP and organize the Million Man March in the '90s) leads roughly 1,000 men, women, and children from Oxford to Raleigh to protest the sham trial of the three cold-blooded killers. Director and fellow North Carolinian Jeb Stuart, who also adapted Tyson's book (other writing credits: Die Hard, Another 48 Hrs.), tries to address thornier issues of violent versus nonviolent protest, but too often, the film props up caricatures and constructs in its superficial gloss on history.

User Reviews:
Author: raysond from Chapel Hill, North Carolina:
Historians hate Hollywood. Movie makers see history merely as a backdrop for their tales of hard-boiled cops and boys-meet-girls. Historians of the civil rights movement wince harder than most. On the rare occasions when Hollywood turns to the subject matter on race relations in the South,we get the Good White Folks versus the Bad White Folks, with black Southerners portrayed as soulful,hymn-singing props and second hand characters. This has been portrayed in dozens of movies that focus on race relations in the South during the height of the civil rights movement.

"Blood Done Sign My Name" is based on the award winning acclaim novel by Tim Tyson, who is currently a research scholar at the Center of Documentary Studies at Duke University in Durham,North Carolina. As an 11-year old kid in segregated Oxford,North Carolina,Tyson witnessed the turbulant aftermath of Henry Marrow's death and the racial tensions that exploded within the town. Tim's father, the Reverend Vernon Tyson, was a Methodist minister in Oxford whose efforts to foster racial integration from the pulpit were met with strong resistance by parishioners and townsfolk alike. Writer and director Jeb Stuart, famed for "Die Hard",and "The Fugitive" made the movie based on Tyson's novel which was filmed on locations in several cities in North Carolina(Shelby,Gastonia,Statesville, but not Oxford interestingly)and gives a splendid backdrop on the events that occur within this small town and the tensions the exploded on that faithful day in 1970. Stuart retools Tyson's sweeping history into a two-part narrative. The first half of the movie is more personal focusing on Rev. Tyson(Rick Schroder)and his family's move to Oxford;the second half of the film focuses on Marrow's murder, the racial incidents that occurred(which included the freedom march along Highway 15 towards Raleigh where Marrow's widow along with activist Goldie Frinks and Ben Chavis lead a march to request help from Governor Scott at the state Capitol),the trial of the three men who did the killing and the subsequent unrest that followed.
"Blood" has several striking white characters. The good side includes Tim's loyal and Christian parents, and the community that turn their back on him and his family, while the other side deals with the coming of the black community and the outrage that followed within the town. It also show how a divided African American community in segregated Oxford,North Carolina in 1970 pulled together after the senseless and public killing of Henry Marrow(a young man who came home from the Vietnam War was now a veteran who is shot and killed for no apparent reason from Robert Teel and his sons)and changed their own history forever. Some organized boycotts, other threw firebombs while others looted and pillaged the town including scenes of where others torched and burned down the tobacco warehouses throughout the town. One local high school teacher,Ben Chavis(Nate Parker of The Great Debaters),who was also a local businessman and future civil rights activist stood against the injustices in Oxford and did what he thought was right. The cast varies in quality from actors ranging from Lela Rochon to Michael Rooker, and A.C. Sanford not to mention cameo appearances from not only Tim Tyson and his father Vernon Tyson but also from the late historian John Hope Franklin.

"Blood Done Sign My Name" unfolds two years after the assassination of Martin Luther King,Jr. in an America wracked by riots and divided by the "Southern strategy" that lifted Richard Nixon on the flood tide of white backlash and also at a time when the Vietnam War escalated out of control. Yes,Jim Crow was still visible in 1970 too in certain cities in the South where segregation was still rampant, and it was that way in the small town of Oxford,North Carolina(in the central part of the state in Granville County 50 miles from Raleigh, the state capitol)and it is still that way today. "Blood" stands on the same ground as other films that depict the South too("To Kill A Mockingbird","Nothing But A Man","Black Like Me","In The Heat Of The Night","Tick,Tick,Tick", and "Mississippi Burning") All the de rigueur genre tropes-from the Klan rally, the bigoted church members, and sadistic and racist sheriff, the trigger happy cops, the sporadic N-word-pop up on cue along with some violent content in some scenes. It sounds like a documentary, but it is not. This is movie with some grand performances to look at,but it has become one of the surprise films of the year.

Flipped Movie Plot Summary:
'Juli Baker devoutly believes in three things: the sanctity of trees (especially her beloved sycamore), the wholesomeness of the eggs she collects from her backyard flock of chickens, and that someday she will kiss Bryce Loski. Ever since she saw Bryce\'s baby blues back in second grade, Juli has been smitten. Unfortunately, Bryce has never felt the same. Frankly, he thinks Juli Baker is a little weird--after all, what kind of freak raises chickens and sits in trees for fun? Then, in eighth grade, everything changes. Bryce begins to see that Juli\'s unusual interests and pride in her family are, well, kind of cool. And Juli starts to think that maybe Bryce\'s brilliant blue eyes are as empty as the rest of Bryce seems to be. After all, what kind of jerk doesn\'t care about other people\'s feelings about chickens and trees? With Flipped, mystery author Wendelin Van Draanen has taken a break from her Sammy Keyes series, and the result is flipping fantastic. Bryce and Juli\'s rants and raves about each other ring so true that teen readers will quickly identify with at least one of these hilarious feuding egos, if not both. A perfect introduction to the adolescent war between the sexes.'

Movie Review:
When second-graders Bryce and Juli first meet, Juli knows it's love. Bryce isn't so sure. Beginning that day, and for the next six years, young Bryce (Callan McAuliffe) does everything he can to keep his outspoken wannabe girlfriend at arm's length...which isn't easy since they go to the same school and live across the street from each other.
Smart, dreamy, independent and willing to stand up for what she believes in, Juli (Madeline Carroll) is different from anyone else he knows and, frankly, it's a little overwhelming. What's a guy supposed to do when a girl tells him his hair smells like watermelon or wants him to sit in a tree for the spectacular view? There's just no telling what Juli will do next, and Bryce is one guy who'd rather be safe than sorry.
Though disappointed by Bryce's unwillingness to see things her way, or even to see the things in life she finds most meaningful, Juli continues to give her potential dreamboat the benefit of the doubt. Until those doubts stack up so high that she finally thinks maybe she was wrong about him.
It's just about the same time Bryce starts to think maybe he was wrong about her, too. But is he too late? The coming-of-age romantic comedy Flipped, from director Rob Reiner, takes Bryce and Juli from Grade School to Junior High, through triumph and disaster, family drama and first love, as they make the discoveries that will define who they are-and who they are to each other.

The creative team includes Emmy Award-winning director of photography Thomas Del Ruth (The West Wing), production designer Bill Brzeski (The Hangover) and Oscar®-nominated editor Roberta Leighton (A Few Good Men). The music is by five-time Oscar®-nominee Marc Shaiman (The American President). The costumes are designed by Durinda Wood (A Mighty Wind).
Castle Rock Entertainment presents a Rob Reiner/Alan Greisman Production, a Rob Reiner Film: Flipped. Rated PG by the MPAA for language and some thematic material, it will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

US President Barack Obama has confirmed the end of all combat operations in Iraq by 31 August.

Obama confirms plan for US troop withdrawal from Iraq
3 August 2010 Last updated at 01:31 GMT

US President Barack Obama has confirmed the end of all combat operations in Iraq by 31 August.
Some 50,000 of 65,000 US troops currently in Iraq are set to remain until the end of 2011 to advise Iraqi forces and protect US interests.
Mr Obama proclaimed that the end of operations would arrive "as promised and on schedule".
It comes amid a dispute between the US and Baghdad over the latest casualty numbers in Iraq.
The thrust of Mr Obama's speech was the fulfilment of his campaign promise to end the Iraq war, which was a defining characteristic of his 2008 candidacy.
Mr Obama made his announcement in a speech to the national convention of the Disabled American Veterans in Atlanta, Georgia.
The remaining 50,000 troops will stay in the country in order to train Iraqi security forces, conduct counterterrorism operations and provide civilians with ongoing security, said Mr Obama.
An agreement negotiated with the Iraqis in 2008 states that these troops must be gone from the country by the end of next year.
But the president warned the US had "not seen the end of American sacrifice in Iraq".
He added: "But make no mistake, our commitment in Iraq is changing - from a military effort led by our troops to a civilian effort led by our diplomats."
Meanwhile, according to the US military, 222 people died in attacks last month. Baghdad says 535 lost their lives - which would make July the deadliest month in the country for more than two years.
The US released its own figure after Baghdad's estimate prompted concern that insurgents were exploiting a post-election power vacuum - and would wreak more havoc as the US withdrew more troops.
"The claim that July 2010 was the deadliest month in Iraq since May 2008 is incorrect," a US military statement said.
The US offered no full explanation as to why its figures differed so markedly from those issued by the Iraqi authorities.
As the November congressional elections loom, Mr Obama wants to continue to hail the progress his administration has made in Iraq as a success, analysts say.

Ongoing uncertainty
The BBC's Hugh Sykes reports from Baghdad that some Iraqis worry that attacks by al-Qaeda in Iraq are increasing again as the Americans leave.

Two bombings and a shooting killed eight people in Iraq on Monday.
Many Iraqis are also concerned about the failure to form a government, our correspondent says.
Since an inconclusive legislative election in March, Sunni, Shia and Kurdish factions that won most seats have disagreed about who should be the next Iraqi prime minister.
Fears have been rising that the ongoing political uncertainty could hinder the plans for a full US military departure by the end of 2011.
While the US has been scaling down its troop presence in Iraq, it has been stepping up its military commitment to Afghanistan, with the president ordering a surge of 30,000 additional soldiers there.
"We face huge challenges in Afghanistan," said Mr Obama. "But it's important that the American people know that we are making progress and we're focused on goals that are clear and achievable."
But some are saying Obama's plan to begin withdrawing troops in Afghanistan as early as next July could encourage the Taliban and other extremist groups.
Although there has been an increase in US troops in Afghanistan, there are fewer troops in Iraq and Afghanistan today than when Mr Obama first entered the White House.

The Obama administration says once the Iraq withdrawal is finished, there will be a total of 146,000 troops on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan - which is a drop from 177,000 in January of 2009.

Analysis

Kevin Connolly BBC News, Washington

Barack Obama made his promise to end combat operations in Iraq last year - the purpose of today's speech was to remind America's voters that he is keeping that promise.
By the end of the month 90,000 American troops will have been withdrawn and the 50,000 who remain will leave before the end of next year.
By the end of the process, more than 350 bases and 3.5 million pieces of equipment will be closed down, transferred to the Iraqi security forces or redeployed to other American units.
That's a logistical feat on a staggering scale but the president was careful not to repeat the mistake of his predecessor George W Bush who famously declared that America's mission in Iraq had been accomplished seven years ago - long before the violence and instability were ended.
