Malayalam movie Traffic, which was released on 7th January in 2011, is now set to celebrate its 50 days successful run at the Box Office this weekend. Sources claim that it is the first hit movie of Malayalam in 2011. It made tough beginning at collection centres in the first two weeks. According to sources, the movie is still registering 60-80 percent collections every day in 15 centers in metros.

The film Traffic is all about five men appearing as a traffic police constable, a doctor, a film star, a college student and a journalist. They accidentally gets to meet at a traffic island, which change the lives of all. Directed by Rajesh Pillai, the movie features Sreenivasan, Kunchakko Bobban, Rahman, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Sandhya, Remya Nambishan, Roma and Lena in the leads.

Hwoever, despite having wonderful story, Traffic failed to do well at the collection centres and the reason behind this is lack of publicity, claims the director of the film. In a recent interview with a National daily Rajesh expressed his disappointment over the producers' disinterest in promoting the film. He claimed that Traffic has become a hit only because of word of mouth. If it had proper publicity, it could have been blockbuster movie in Malayalam.

The media personalities, who were misbehaved, argued that how can they be so rude when the media was decent enough throughout the wedding covering each and every aspect of their wedding.

New York (ANI): Hollywood film producer and novelist, Perry Moore, has died of an apparent drug overdose. Moore, 39, was found at around 2 p.m. in his Houston Street pad, a doorman high-rise just off Sixth Avenue, police sources said. Moore was openly gay and lived in New York City with life partner Hunter Hill.

According to sources, prescription medications were found in Moore's pad, but it has not yet been determined if these were instrumental in his death. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. Meanwhile, the Police are also searching for other causes of producer's sudden death.

Moore was an executive producer of the blockbuster The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy and had penned a well-received fiction work in 2007 about a gay teenage superhero, reports the New York Post. He adapted CS Lewis books like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Sources claim that he was in the process of creating another film.

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit has refused Rajinikanth's offer to act in his upcoming film Rana. The actress, who is currently busy with Television reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, was approached by the superstar to play one of the female leads in the film.

Madhuri Dixit has reportedly told the superstar that she is missing her children and wants to fly back to the US soon. Reports say that the actress has politely turned down the offer. It also added that she was offered to pair Rajinikanth's older character in the film. It may be recalled that they worked together in Bollywood movie Uttar Dakshin in the year 1987.

However, Rajini is playing triple role in KS Ravi Kumar's film. Deepika Padukone has been roped in to play one of the female leads in Rana. The movie is jointly produced by Eros International and Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher Studios Private Limited. The movie will hit the floors in March.

There is tremendous anticipation about the Love Aaj Kal pair coming together again in Prakash Jha's Aarakshan. Distributors clamouring to buy Jha's post-Raajneeti multi-starrer are looking to see what crackling chemistry Jha creates between the pair that had set the screen on fire in Imtiaz Ali's film.

If waiting to see Saif and Deepika in lingering lip-locks and passionate liaisons the distributors are in for a disappointment. The relationship between Deepika and Saif unfolds and develops on a college campus where the Big B playing Deepika's father is the principal.

Says Jha, "There's no room for any physical intimacy between Saif and Deepika. Though that's what is expected of them I'm not forcing any love scenes into the script. And if that is a problem for the distributors and the audience, so be it. I can't shuffle around the cards in my screenplay just to get the audience tantalized."

A similar scenario had unfolded when after the grand success of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani distributors expected a feast of fireworks between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in Raajneeti. But Jha had desisted all attempts to arm twist him into making his lead pair sizzle for the camera

Protests Jha, "Aarakshan is not that kind of a film. The film is set on a college campus. We're shooting in a college named Oriental in Bhopal. But we've changed it to Shakunatala Thakral College. The entire atmosphere and ambience are academic. The classes are going on normally while we shoot in one corner. We can't have Saif and Deepika taking a break for a kiss or a song. Their relationship is more implicit and built on suggestions and hints formed from a long and dependable association. Sorry, there are no torrid moments between Saif and Deepika and I am not forcing them in."

If singing dancing and romancing in the college campus is your scene then try Karan Johar's Student Of The Year. Apparently, the film will have over a dozen songs while Karan's students sing and dance their hearts out. Aarakshan and Student Of The Year will be released at around the same time next year to create two contrasting portraits of the academic world.

As someone close to both the projects quips, "Aarakshan is about job reservation. Student Of The Year is college life without reservations."

"I am so lucky. He's so amazing and wonderful and sweet and just the nicest guy too, so you can just add that to the soup," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I mean, he's just so good-looking and he's a really nice person," she said.

The pair, who play forbidden lovers in the movie based on a New York Times bestseller of the same title, keep each other smiling on set even after the cameras stop rolling. "We'll probably just laugh the whole time, because all we do is just laugh and joke around," Witherspoon said.

Pattinson praises his costar too. "She's great. I think every time where there's a love scene, though, I get beaten up," Pattinson said. Witherspoon and Pattinson have also worked together in 2004's "Vanity Fair". In the film, a young Pattinson played an aged Witherspoon's son - awkward, yet funny, to think about in retrospect, admits Pattinson.

"It seems like it's been so long ago now. I remember even on the set, I thought I looked too old to be her son," he said. The blonde beauty, on the other hand, had a few different thoughts about the casting. "He was walking down this corridor and I turned to the director and I said, That's my son? He's so good looking! I was like, He's so hot!” she recalled.

After rocking the box office last year with Golmaal 3, Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty are back with Singham, a remake of the Tamil super-hit starring Suriya. While the hunt for the female lead was on for quite a while, the makers have now finalised Kajal Aggarwal to play Ajay's love interest in the film.

For the uninitiated, Kajal is a popular actress down South with a repertoire of numerous successful films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. She rose to prominence after her performance as 'Yuvarani Mitravinda Devi' and 'Indira (Indu)' in the 2009 Telugu super-hit Magadheera which also won her a Filmfare nomination for Best Actress (Telugu).

Talking about casting Kajal in his film, director Rohit Shetty says, "Kajal is very popular down south. She has done Magadheera, one of the biggest Telugu hits of all time. We are confident about her pulling off the role successfully."

Talking about similarities between the original and Rohit's remake, Rohit adds, "75 percent of the film will be different, while the original basic premise will stay the same. We have to make the film accessible to every market in the country. So the story will differ from the original. I have introduced new characters and subplots to cater to the general audience."

Singham produced by Reliance Pictures is all set to hit theatres this July.

London (ANI): Britney Spears is facing legal action over her new single 'Hold It Against Me'. American country rock duo, 'The Bellamy Brothers', has claimed that it bears resemblance to their 1979 signature ballad 'If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me?)', reports the Daily Express.

Now, David and Howard Bellamy are meeting lawyers with a view to suing the 29-year-old pop star, and four songwriters for plagiarism. Just like the Bellamy Brothers' original, the lyrics to Spears' song portray the singer seducing someone on the dance floor. It is the first single to be released from her forthcoming seventh studio album 'Femme Fatale'.

"Howard and I have no personal beef with Britney, she's a talented gal, but professionally, and in all honesty, we feel completely ripped off, said David Bellamy, 60. Where's the originality? If you listen to the lyrics of Britney's single and compare it with ours you'll find some major similarities," he said.

"We will take the appropriate legal action if our attorneys agree we've been ripped off," he added. "She is not aware of this situation. If this is a legal matter we would have nothing to say until our lawyers have been alerted," said a spokesman for Spears.

Washington (ANI): Lady Gaga has revealed that she was taught about sex with a wooden p****. The 24-year-old singer - who attended a strict Catholic girls' school in her teens - admitted she barely had any contact with boys until she was 15 because she was always being lectured about the virtues of abstinence by her school nurse.

"I went to a Catholic school where the doors were sort of shut and the blinds were pulled down when the nurse came in to talk to us about safe sex and celibacy - it was more of an abstinence conversation than it was about safe sex," Contactmusic quoted her as telling WWD..

"It really was my biology teacher who taught us about safe sex. The wooden p**** would come out and she would take out a condom and we would all sort of sit there. We barely even had contact with boys until I was 15 years old."

London (ANI): Katie Price donned a fake moustache to transform herself into Freddie Mercury to perform in this year's 'Let's Dance for Comic Relief'. She even wore an outfit that matched the one worn by the 'Queen' singer in the video to the song.

Price, who danced to 'I Want To Break Free', beat two Waterloo Road actors in a vote by judges to also progress to the final of the show, which sees stars tackle famous dance routines. Price's performance prompted laughter and praise from the judges, light entertainment presenter Graham Norton and comedians Frank Skinner and Greg Davies, reports the BBC.

Skinner said Price looked 'great with a moustache', quipping that facial hair was 'something to look forward to' for the model-turned-writer. "I thought you were an absolute star," he said

New York (ANI): Amanda Seyfried gave Justin Timberlake quite a surprise during a telephone interview for the March issue of Interview magazine, when she told him she was wearing nothing. "I think I should mention that I'm not wearing any clothes," the New York Daily News quoted Seyfried as saying to the singer.

Amanda had just finished discussing her upcoming film Red Riding Hood, when she suddenly revealed she was naked. "Well if that's how you'd like to be interviewed then that's totally fine," Timberlake said. "I'm most comfortable in my birthday suit," she acknowledged.

Seyfried and Timberlake star together in Andrew Niccol's upcoming sci-fi flick Now.
