Indore was one of the cities on Farah Khan's itinerary of 15 Indian cities to promote her film Tees Maar Khan, which releases on December 24. However she cancelled her plans to visit the city with her actors Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif at the behest of her friend Anil Kapoor.
Stay away!
When Anil learned that the TMK actors were going to promote the film there, he called Farah and requested her to stay away from the city, as he'd planned to promote his film No Problem in the city that same day.
Kapoor's film releases this Friday, so he couldn't postpone his dates.
Farah, who is currently in Delhi with Akki and Kat, confirms, "Yes, we were to go to Indore too but Anil Kapoor, who is a close friend, requested me not to go there as he was going there the same day for the promotion of No Problem. So we cancelled our event."
She continues, "We were to have the TMK media event in a mall in a Nagpur but had to cancel it at the last moment because of security problems, and do it at the hotel itself, where the crowds could be managed."
Other cities that the trio will visit are Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Dubai, London, New York, Toronto, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi again.
Akshay uses his six-seater aircraft to fly from city to city. In cities where AK is not accompanying the TMK girls, they will fly one of the commercial airlines or chartered flights. The plan is to cover 15 cities in 14 days a new record.
Farah says, "Akshay has no fear of flying and neither do I have any phobias except of certain snakes... Hahaha... So we thought this was the best way we could cover so much in such a short time. I don't think we are chartering a plane abroad except maybe to New York and Toronto."

Legendary actor Dharmendra turns 75 today (December 8) and also completes 50 years of acting; since making his debut in Dil Bhi Tere Hum Bhi Tere (1960).
The celebrations started in Chennai on Monday when Dharam and Hema Malini received the Rajinikanth Legends of Bollywood awards, followed by a party. Daughters Esha and Ahana were also present.
Annual ritual
Esha Deol says, "We will bring in dad's birthday by calling him at midnight, a ritual which we follow with every member of the family on birthdays. Tonight, we may even go out for a family dinner."
The original Dhoom girl has bought an iPhone for her dad. "Dad's like a typical father and feels daughters shouldn't spend on their dads. He's got an iPad and I am sure he will love the phone. On the flight back from Chennai, he kept asking me how to operate my iPhone. He's become tech-savvy now as we show him how to operate these gadgets. He has downloaded all his songs and movies on his iPad
and keeps watching it. Sunny bhaiya hooked it up for him."
Fans ke liye
The Deol beti continues, "Dad reserves a part of the birthday for his fans. Hundreds of his fans come to see him on this day. A lot of his colleagues also drop in. Dad is a very good human being and that's why he is so loved. He's also a very simple man and is as enthusiastic about his work as he was when he joined films.
“While shooting for Tell Me O Khuda, after every shot he would go to the monitor and check the angles and the lighting. It's amazing that he still has so much enthusiasm. Dad is too cute he's like a child and we are so proud of him."
Cherished moments
Esha continues emotionally, "He has taught all of us that whatever we face in life, we should remain humble and always be good human beings. I cherish every moment I spend with dad even the time we spent on the flight. A father-daughter bond is a special thing.
“One of my treasured moments with dad is when we did our first shot together for Tell Me O Khuda. I never dreamed of it happening. I thought that things might get awkward, as dad and I are both very emotional but it was very cool and we wrapped up the shoot fast. Now, the film is complete and we are busy with editing and post-production."
Esha's favourite Dharam films
“Tum Haseen Main Jawan as that was the first film mom and dad did together and both had a crush on each other but couldn't tell each other. Seeta Aur Geeta is one film I can see every day of my life. Apart from the fact that it has mom and dad together, I really enjoyed dad's tapori Raaka character, who wore an earring!
“Sholay because Dad and Amitji shared an amazing chemistry which perhaps can only be seen in Abhishek and John in Dostana. Chupke Chupke for dad's cool comic timing. Dharam veer where dad looked super hot and super toned in those costumes.
“Dadagiri where dad trains Padmini Kolhapure to be a tough girl and beat up people. I would imagine dad training me like that. Satyakaam for everything from his fabulous performance to his whole look, and character.”

The yesteryear romantic hero of Bollywood, Dharmendra turns 75 today but the actor with 50 years of experience in Bollywood, still feels like a 25-year-old boy!
The veteran actor is young at heart and wants to participate in another talent hunt as he feels someone still might be searching for him! Dharmendra, the son of a school teacher in the village Lalton, Ludhiana, got his Bollywood entry through Filmfare’s talent hunt in Mumbai (then Bombay).
However, after spending five decades in the industry, Dharmendra feels that it has turned like a ‘mandi’ (market) and actors have become like hawkers. Dharmendra today feels blessed for doing a film like Yamla Pagla Deewana with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol. The movie will release on January 14, 2011 and it is a perfect blend of comedy, action and romance.
After getting so much of accolades from the industry in these years, Dharmendra says that he came to Mumbai with a dream of getting seen in film posters. Like any normal human being, he also wanted to be loved and admired, possess a flat and a Fiat car. But, the industry has given him much more than what he expected and now he gets his fans call from the places as far as like Tunisia and Nigeria.
The jovial and glam boy Dharmedra will be back with his upcoming movie Yamla Pagla Deewana, which will reflect the wonderful chemistry between the father and the sons. Dharmedra says that in real life, there is awkwardness between him and his sons but he wonders how naturally Bobby calls him a ‘kamina’ in the film.
Well, we will discover the chemistry and bonding between the father-sons when the film releases next month. For now, we wish the veteran a very happy Birthday and hope he his film does well at the Box Office.

The reports in the media claim that the father – sons trio starrer Yamla Pagla Deewana will release with a new climax. Though the audience have already seen a glimpse of Dharmendra – Sunny Deol – Bobby Deol starrer Yamla Pagla Deewana, the film’s crew has decided on a new climax as opposed to the one which was previously shot. Reason behind the decision was to create a punch in-order to please the movie goers in a Bollywood comedy.
If reports are to be believed, it was the father and his two sons who requested director Samir Karnik to shoot an alternative climax scene for their upcoming film. Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol did not like the climax of Yamla Pagla Deewana after watching it at a special pre-release screening arranged for the family. A source associated with the upcoming Bollywood release says that while Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol enjoyed watching the first part of their movie, the second part, especially the climax did not appeal to them and the makers of Yamla Pagla Deewana too decided to abide by their advice. A new climax sequel has already been shot and this time the film’s ending will be more action-packed and comic.
This is all the more reason for the audience to catch the film in a theater close to their homes. The promos of Yamla Pagla Deewana presently aired on TV have attracted a lot of attention and director Samir Karnik did not want to let his efforts go in vain after such a warm initial response. The director is of the idea that a changed climax will be all the more reason enough to draw the audience to theaters screening Yamla Pagla

Glitzy world AIDS Charity raises $1m million

LOS ANGELES: It took longer than many thought -- and comedians had a laugh at their expense -- but singer Alicia Keys and her celebrity friends raised $1 million for an AIDS charity and, with it, lived to tweet again.
Keys and her Keep a Child Alive charity co-founder Leigh Blake on Monday said their widely-followed "digital death" campaign reached its $1 million goal after pharmaceutical entrepreneur Stewart Rahr pitched in $500,000.
At stake, along with raising funds to help millions of children and families living with AIDs in Africa and India, were the digital lives of celebrities who vowed to stay off social networking websites Twitter and Facebook until the $1 million was raised.
The celebrities included Justin Timberlake, Ryan Seacrest, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian and Usher. Their campaign launched on World AIDS Day, December 1, amid great fan fare with the expectation it would quickly reach its goal.
After all, the celebrities all have millions of fans. Lady Gaga boasts 7.3 million followers on Twitter, alone. Justin Timberlake has 3.6 million, and Seacrest has 3.7 million.
Problem was, it took longer than many celebrity watchers thought, and as donations reached only $100,000 then $200,000, the stars became the butt of jokes on the Web, TV and radio. Their popularity -- or lack thereof -- was questioned, as was their fans' desire to keep them digitally dead.
But on Monday, the stars emerged from their coffins.
"So stoked to be back on twitter! Special shout out to Stewie Rah Rah for his generous donation," Seacrest tweeted.
"I'm back from the dead! Thank you all so much for your donations and contributions! I have missed u all so much!!!," Kardashian posted on Twitter.
For its part, Keep a Child Alive said, "although we never expected to raise $1 million overnight, we are completely blown away that we were able to achieve our goal in less than a week." The group said more than 3,600 people participated in the campaign by sacrificing their own digital lives.
Rahr owned and operated a New York-based pharmaceutical distribution business that he recently sold. He learned of Keep a Child Alive earlier this year, the charity said.

NEW YORK: Angelina Jolie enticed in an ivory Atelier Versace angora gown at the premiere of her latest film, The Tourist.
She was accompanied by her partner Brad Pitt.
She accessorized with matching Salvatore Ferragamo pumps and spectacular rectangle earrings by her personal jewelry designer Robert Procop.
Her hair was styled half up half down with a heavily teased top and peek-a-boo bangs.
Speaking to the media at the premiere about her makeover in the film, Jolie said, "I had never played a lady... really... before... I had played a version of a kind of a girl... something really tough, or something cool."
"I found it a big challenge to play someone extremely European, elegant, little bows and little pink. It was all very foreign to me," she added.
Speaking about working with co-star Johnny Depp - who looked dapper at the event in a 3 piece pin stripe Polo Ralph Lauren suit - Jolie said they both had seen and liked each other's films but had never met before.
"And we met and we talked about kids for the first hour and France for the second and had a good laugh. We really enjoyed working with each other in the film and I hope that comes across," she added.
The film is due in theaters on December 10.

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee said she is playing a very dynamic and an inspiring role of a journalist in her upcoming film 'No One Killed Jessica'.
Releasing a song 'Aali Re' from her film here on Friday, Mukherjee said she plays a crime reporter and has played it with a lot of zest and fun.
"It's basically more of a crime reporter. It's someone who actually deals with a lot of danger in her everyday life because she is at places and situations which normally would be slightly uncomfortable for anybody to be in. So, it is a very dynamic role and obviously for me, to think of women to be in a situation like that, I think it's really a salutation," said Mukherjee.
"I have got great regard for the character and that's why I have played it with so much of zest and so much of fun because I am really inspired by this character," she added.
Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the film is based on a true story of Jessica Lal's murder case. The music director of the film is Amit Trivedi.
Mukherjee further said she likes the music of the film and is very proud to be a part of it.
"I am really proud to be a part of the film that he (Amit Trivedi) has composed. He has absolutely given such fantastic music for the film. It's not only this track but I think the main track of Delhi, it's a great track and then there are the songs which are going to follow after 'Aali Re'," said Mukherjee.
"I think every track is just so wonderful and to create such songs in a film, which is actually a song-less film, you know, to create such songs, is brilliant," she added.
The star cast of 'No One Killed Jessica' includes Vidya Balan along with Mukherjee.
The film is scheduled for release on January 7.

LONDON: Not even a streaming cold and a rather chilly evening were going to keep me from this one. Yesterday evening saw the World Premiere of Tron: Legacy light up the Empire cinema in London’s trendy Leicester Square and the stars of the show were out in force to greet a rabid public!
The fans had arrived even earlier and were screaming and waving around identity discs and home made Jeff Bridges collages.
And seeing the world of Tron in 3D on the HUGE IMAX screen, was just fantastic. can’t wait to see a light-cycle chase with the huge screen immersing in the action. The footage from the real world was presented in 2D, while the footage set inside the computer was presented in 3D.
The story of the film is about a computer expert whose father went missing 20 years back. He enters the dangerous world of the computer in search of his father.

NEW DELHI: The family of Nicole Faria, the 20-year-old from Bangalore who became the first Indian woman to be crowned Miss Earth, say that the win was "hardly a surprise".
Faria's success has come as no surprise to her family who are well acquainted with her winning ways and her belief in the adage "I know I can".
"We knew she would win. We were hardly surprised," says George Pearson, Nicole's uncle, whose prediction that she would win came true last night when she clinched the Miss Earth title in a glitzy ceremony in Vietnam.
Nicole has turned out to be the best advertisement for her parents, father Ian Faria, a motivational speaker and corporate trainer and mother Anita, who works with the reputed beauty group VLCC.
"She owes a large part of her success to her father, who has always motivated her to win. It was he who taught her how to talk, how to walk. He groomed her to be a winner," said George adding that Nicole's motivational lessons began when she was young and so did the grooming.
A student of Christ College and Mount Carmel College, she had full family support when she decided to take up modelling as a 16-year-old.
A Prasad Bidapa protege, she has walked the ramp since 2005 and been on the pages of fashion magazines like Elle, Cosmopolitan and Vogue.
Her winning moment came when she clinched the Miss India Earth title at the Miss India 2010 beauty pageant in Mumbai.
Born to a Goan father and Punjabi mother, music and dancing has always been in her genes and it was belly dancing that helped Nicole clinch the Miss Earth title.
"Shakira has alway been her idol. She mimicked her all the time, crooned like Shakira and danced like her," said her cousin Neha.
"At all birthday celebrations, parties, Nicole, a natural performer, always vowed her family with her belly dancing and her mimicry," she added.
The family has been trying to get in touch with her since the win but has not been able to do so.
"We are waiting for her to arrive to celebrate," they said.

MUMBAI; Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were once the mushy couple of the Bollywood tinsel town and were regular painters of the gossip columns. They even made headlines when their lip lock became a rage and did the nationwide tour via cellular mms.
However, after Saif flaunted his ‘Tashan’ and Kareena her lime-green bikini, a fresh love bloomed and Shahid got unceremoniously dumped. But you can’t prevent Kareena from being the candid gal that she is.
In ‘Koffee with Karan’, Kareena has hailed Shahid as the sexiest man. When Karan quizzed her asking her to name the sexiest actor from a list that included the names of the Greek God Hrithik, the cute Imran Khan, the macho Arjun Rampal and the dashing hunky John Abraham, Kareena confidently picked up Shahid’s name much to the surprise of beau Saif. Even Karan was stumped for once and Shahid must have had his heart in his mouth for one split second.
Kareena also took a jibe at Priyanka Chopra taunting her for her accent and calling her the number two actress after herself. Saif and Kareena lashed out their tongues and delighted Karan with more comments; something that is bound to stir the nation’s imagination. Earlier, the episode featuring Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone had also grabbed quite a few eyeballs.
