Directed by: Ken Ghosh
Distributor:UTV Motion Pictures
Theatrical Release:Friday, January 15, 2010
Country:India

Plot Summary Of Chance Pe Dance:

"Chance Pe Dance" is the story of a talented and passionate young actor/dancer named Sameer. Positive and brimming with energy, Sameer juggles various jobs while working towards getting his big break in the industry.
Along the way he meets the vivacious Tina, a choreographer with dreams of her own. She's appreciative of his talent and encourages him to remain strong-willed. Just when Sameer is promised his big break, he is rendered homeless and finds himself struggling to make ends meet. Not one to lose heart, he begins teaching dance in a school to young kids who have no real interest in the art. When all of a sudden, the director who promised to launch Sameer, decides to go the "talent hunt" route, a shattered Sameer decides to put his dreams on hold and divert his complete focus towards the kids. He coaxes them into enrolling in a prestigious inter-school dance competition and, despite numerous hurdles, trains them to win. Later, Tina and the kids urge Sameer to enter the talent hunt (which is now a popular reality show on TV) and take his one shot at fame. Sameer wins and eventually becomes what he was destined to be, a Superstar.

Chance Pe Dance Movie Reviews:

It's obvious to have huge expectations from a musical movie, directed by Ken Ghosh, who is known as one of the pioneer directors of music videos in India. And the hopes even rise further if the project has the youthful Shahid Kapoor (post 'Kaminey') and the energetic Genelia D'Souza (after 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na') as its lead couple. Hence, everyone was eager to see a spectacular show with probably a novel storyline accompanied by some brilliant dance sequences, melodious songs, amazing picturisations and tender love moments between the young couple on the screen. But surprisingly, Ken comes up with a very poorly written, confused and un-inspiring movie as his third directorial venture after "Fida" & "Ishq Vishq".

Right from the start, "Chance Pe Dance" fails to grab your attention as it straight away opens with a song coming from no-where. Even the titles begin after the song gets over, so there is no explanation why the song was there in the first place. Secondly, just after 15 minutes into the movie, a normal movie-lover can easily guess its complete storyline till the end and that's where the movie loses its main ground of the expected box office success. Based on a routine plot of a struggler coming to Mumbai, with hopes of making it big, "Chance Pe Dance" has got nothing to stand out as its merit, apart from the spirited performance of Shahid Kapoor.
In other words, Shahid is the only "Chance" for the movie to impress its viewers and I sincerely doubt he alone would be able to save it. The flick has several serious issues in its execution, which forcibly restrict it to be called as a below average project. Here they are for your consideration:
1. The moment a song starts in the movie, it shifts to a music video mold, which is no doubt the forte of its director Ken Ghosh. Though the songs are indeed a treat to watch, but it seems Ken worked more hard on the songs and less on his story.
2. The movie has a completely avoidable track of a school and its students winning a dance competition due to their dance teacher Shahid. The sequence, which is highly inspired from "The School of Rock" (2003), is not scripted well, gets hurriedly finished and looks like a misfit in the movie.
3. A director who can be called as the Master of Music Videos, ideally must have a good ear and incredible music sense. But Ken simply disappoints in this department as he is not able to get any good songs from the otherwise talented singer Adnan Sami. The music of "Chance Pe Dance" is a big let-down, especially with a weak finale song at the reality show in the climax.
4. It seems that both the writer and director are pretty confused regarding what their lead characters have to do on the screen. Shahid, who is supposed to be an aspiring talented actor, is more interested in showing his dancing skills than the acting. On the other hand, Genelia, who plays a choreographer in the movie, is given no detailed sequence of teaching the dancing steps to anyone. In fact she seems to be more interested in acting, with all her cute mannerisms and doesn't even talk about dance in the movie. Mohnish Behl, is the most confused one, who at first selects Shahid for his movie and then suddenly rejects him, without any reason.
5. The most irritating one comes towards the climax, when Shahid is participating in a big channel' reality show in which we are simply not shown any of his competitors. The viewers only get to see Shahid's performance on the stage (that's too a dancing one) and he easily goes on to win the acting contest and becomes a star.
In the acting department, Shahid is the only savior in the movie who gives a sincere and spirited performance which shows more of his sensitive and emotional persona. He might be counting a lot on this movie but may not get the desired results at the box office. Genelia as his lover, performs much better than her previous movies. But the cool and pretty girl doesn't get a well written role and thus cannot be blamed for anything. Parikshit Sahni repeats his fatherly act of "3 Idiots", but still manages to impress & Vikas Bhalla is a bit loud in his few scenes.
In the end, looking at the track record of the talented director Ken Ghosh, one wonders, why he chose this kind of completely predictable subject for his third important movie which also had the most sellable stars at his disposal. Was this the story he was working on, in this long gap of almost 5 years? Or the movie was a victim of an uncontrolled delay without his fault.

To sum up, "Chance Pe Dance", which was more publicized as a dancing musical, has only few dancing sequences to watch out and no particular song to rave about. The choreography and song picturisation does entertain you at times, but in the absence of some equally good tracks and a novel script, they fail to create a lasting impact.

2012 Korean Action Movie 2010

Cast and Crew

Starring: John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet,
Oliver Platt, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover, Woody Harrelson

Director: Roland Emmerich
Screenwriter: Roland Emmerich, Harald Kloser
Genre: Action
Studio: Columbia Pictures (Sony)

An epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.

2012 Movie Reviews:

The Montreal Lacordaire Guzzo cinema was one of the many theaters that premiered the movie 2012 .
Boasted by the surrounding conspiracy and the wild theories, the year long running trailers were instrumental in bringing a great number of disaster fans out to see this epic, not letting even the cold deter their resolve. After the usual 8 to 10 minutes forced advertisement , the movie started and for many, the most anticipated movie of 2009 was about to commence . With cell phones hushed from minute one for once, an anxious and full theater was finally treated to the feature exploiting the widely popular theme of the moment: the predicted disaster and end of times foretold by the Mayas nearly 5000 years ago, prompt to happen on the 21st of December of the titled year.
Deemed by a few now as “The day after Tomorrow 2” in another perspective, 2012 opens pretty conservatively. Chiwetel Ejiofor plays a scientist who discovers that a super solar flare emanating exotic particles is about to heat up the inside of the earth and we, as a race, have no time left to continue enjoying the frivolities of life.

Our American scientist jumps over to Washington and takes Oliver Platt, playing a White House representative, out of a fund raiser to announce that the world, as we know it, is about to end. From there on, you would think the story would get interesting and that we would like to see in more detail what the government is about to do, the plan of action at work. Instead, we jump to a writer/limo driver Jackson Curtis played by John Cusack and somewhat, for a while, we try to live his life. Since there has to be familial drama to spice things up, we learn that Jack is divorced and has to juggle a hectic schedule of tending to the caprices of a Russian millionaire boss while taking his kids to Yellowstone. As we are called upon to establish a rapport with the lead of the movie, surrounding events, of course, remind us that disaster is pregnant and much expected torment mixed with wide scale misery is about to hit.
The eventual trip to Yellowstone avers fruitful for our limo driver who does not get only the chance to bond more with his alienated kids but discovers odd happenings. While investigating why the park lake has suddenly died up, he is detained by the National Guard for being behind forbidden lines. However, before his release, he makes the acquaintance of Ejiofor who convinces him that all is well and that the presence of the military in a quarantined national park is just routine.
Needless to say that our American scientist spawns a few great words about Jackson Curtis’ only published book which sold scarcely, adding that he had a cherished copy in his possession. Suspicious Jack, content to be free, becomes more puzzled when he meets crack pot Woody Harrelson who inspires pretty vexed feelings with his curious questions. Nonetheless, on a second meeting, our “loony” brings our lead actor up to speed on the whole 2012 prophecy and government conspiracy. With events unfolding further, Ejiofor discovers that the time allocated for preparations are less than expected and it is time for politicians, the rich and the celebs to board so called Arks, in an effort to replenish the planet later with a bourgeoisie of stuck up royal diplomats… for the most.
As the planet falls apart gradually, Cusack aspires to save his ex wife and kids, not forgetting his children’s step father/plastic surgeon/rookie pilot from a never ending series of situations fraught with grave danger. Escaping from crumbling California in calculated to the millimeter precision maneuvers, leaving us to ponder how lucky one dysfunctional family could be, their eventual destination, with more perils to come, is China. According to a map charted by nut case Woody Harrelson , this is the country where arks are supposed to be waiting.
With the reluctant assistance of his Russian boss in the company of his mistress Tamara and his twin sons, our hero and his entourage manages to get to one of those arks which they all board, some legally, others clandestinely with the help of some Tibetan workers. Of course, along the way, we get to witness Yellowstone erupting into a super Volcano, Hawaii becoming one big lava fest, runways disintegrating only seconds after take off, not once but three times, as our select group make their impossible getaway towards China.
While the whole world succumbs to various calamities, we are asked to intake the idea that repression of the end of days conspiracy was a success. With this in mind, a suddenly conscientious President of the US played by Danny Glover finds it imperative now to announce to the planet that they should get ready to embrace certain death. Too honorable in duty to join the other leaders on the ark, our president is, in due time, washed away by a huge wave and the USS Kennedy as the White House is destroyed. Sharing similar fate is his Italian counterpart in Rome who joins a massive prayer session at Vatican City. Alas, the16th chapel roof caves in and all the worshipers understand that god was right and wrong with Armageddon upon them. It was certainly not only the infields who were paying for their sins.
The finale of 2012 sees us wrestle our eyes open to watch unwarranted and useless ambiguous scenes of Tamara, the Paris Hilton look alike, waiting for her dog to acrobatically jump on the ark as an illegal, a cameo of a running Queen of England rushing to board one of the arks, a despicable Russian millionaire who jumps to his death saving his kids in near slow motion. If that was not enough to bring some compassion to your heart from people you barely got time to know on screen, a torturous 10 minutes of delayed moral dilemmas follows. Clearly there for some feel good moments or time filler, no one will ever know, we are summed human nature in a few seconds and actions. Before long, the three arks surpass the ever rising waters in melodramatic style and we cross to events of a month after the deluge. All is well as our survivors discover Africa has not been affected and is now their new destination to seek new refuge.
To be fair, when the movie ended, the feelings of disappointment lurked. Personally, I was not satisfied but talking to a few other people reinforced my belief that this movie indeed merited only 3 stars on an overall 5 star rating system. If other Roland Emmerich movies such as “Independence Day” had Will Smith to disport us with comedy and “Stargate” had an enticing story with the strong characters of James Spader and Kurt Russell to propel it forward, this one reminded me of the “10000 BC” fiasco. It again counted only on special effects to do the job. John Cusack did his best of course but the personage he played barely attracted sympathy for anyone to shed a tear or identify with.
Despite the mentioned amazing visuals, one would think that disaster itself has enough drama and spectacle on offer to dazzle. However, seeing Jackson Curtis escape catastrophe so many times, it become staggeringly obvious that making some parts of this movie credible was not on the agenda of the writers. In fact, it became so tiring that some of the spectators admitted rooting for his swift demise at some point. Once you get above the absurdity of the super luck factor, the convenient coincidences, there is the conflicting morality this flick tries to thrust upon us. Sometimes, we can save a few chosen, mostly the useless and anybody who has 1 billion euros, to start the human race again. On other times, a pestering scientist will remind us that we are obligated to save the rest of humanity despite the odds staking towards impossibility. And then there is the numerous worthless personages in 2012 that could have been stripped away without consequence to the movie. Thandie Newton is a prime example playing the first daughter of the United States and Ejiofor’s father and his jazz buddy, not forgetting Tamara and her agile dog.
In the end, come to think of it, between the doggy gymnastics certainly there to please those PETA people and the ill-developed characters, the people behind 2012 left us with a lot of internal illogic. May be the point was to impress with falling buildings and huge Tsunamis but this arduous work of cinematography fell short of being riveting. They should have spent much more time providing a decent storyline and develop the various thespian roles accordingly. If they did execute the otherwise poor character development and misplaced contrived dialogue with the same fervor as those effects, we would have something that could easily incrust into our minds. But depicting that guy, in detail, falling from the 150th floor of a torn apart building, from an eagle’s eyes distance, was supposedly more important than giving us credible characters that mattered.

Movie Plot:

This movie is about Jeong-hye (Kim Yoon-jin) who has to give the baby up for adoption in 18months. The prison guard Moon-ok (Na Moon-hee) who was rejected by her family and has to live with a pained memory. The prisoners come together to form a choir for those they love.

Korean movie HarMony PReviews:

Not long after
"The Executioner", the first movie to be filmed in a real prison, and "Actresses", featuring a rare all-female cast, comes "Harmony", about women living behind bars in tune to a different synchronization.
Kim Yoon-jin returns to the local screen two years after starring in the hit thriller "Seven Days". The "Lost" star has shed her serious image to wear an unfading smile and a blue jail uniform in the tearjerker family drama.
"It's a movie for which we had to reshoot scenes because we cried too much", the actress said Monday in Seoul following the film's press preview. Produced by "Haeundae" director Yoon Je-kyoon and directed by newcomer Kang Dae-gyoo, the movie is indeed designed to draw out tears ― and despite some oddly placed musical moments and mainstream superficiality, it works.
Kim stars as Jeong-hye, who, after killing her abusive husband, is sentenced to serve 10 years in Cheongju Women's Prison. She gives birth to a baby boy during the stint and tries to cherish every bit of the 18 months she has with Min-ho before giving him up for adoption, in accordance with the law.
One day she is impressed by a visiting choir and sets out to start one her own. The kindhearted prison chief promises Jeong-hye a special outing with Min-ho if she succeeds.
But contrary to the film's title, the protagonist is severely tone deaf and her pitchy lullabies induce tearful fits, rather than sleep, from Min-ho. Yet this happy-go-lucky story makes sure its protagonist never loses her smile, and she finds help in her prison mate Mun-ok, a former music professor on death row. Veteran actress Na Moon-hee gives weight and a compelling spin to the melodrama.
Also joining in the harmony are a comic duo of girlfriends, a night club singer and professional wrestler (played by musical actresses Jeong Soo-yeong and Park Joon-myeon, respectively) and a young soprano with a dark past ("Haeundae" starlet Kang Ye-won, who actually majored in music in college).
Shooting the film in an actual prison ― though it was limited to mostly public areas such as the rooftop and courtyard ― proved to be a special experience for the cast.

Na said witnessing an elderly woman make haste to visit her child helped her interpret her character, who does not give up trying to reach out to her children, who had shunned their convict mother. Kim recalls a moment when an inmate started singing along with her from inside a cell when she was rehearing in the hall.
"Harmony" rings with strong sorority spirit, featuring the women making the most of their cohabitation in a tiny space ― using empty toilet paper rolls as hair rollers and working with a piece of yarn to slice up a watermelon.
"I've never been offered the chance to play a character like Jeong-hye, who makes such a beautiful effort under desperate conditions. I accepted it without second thought", said Kim.
The movie casts the characters, who are sentenced for some serious offenses, under a sympathetic light ― as victims of rape, fraud or heartbreak.
"I found out through research that most women commit accidental crimes. I did not however attempt to tell a story on their behalf; rather I aimed to tell a story about family ties, how people try to connect with family even under tough conditions. It's a story about a different form of family", said the director.
The movie is not so much a "Sound of Music"-type bonding story through music; indeed the inmates rediscover hope through singing, but climactic moments follow after Jeong-hye gives up Min-ho for adoption. The choir has matured into a reputable ensemble, and the members are granted the opportunity to give a special performance and a special session to reunite with family members. In theaters Jan. 28.

Movie Attact The Gas Station2 Reviews:

In 1999, a story about four juvenile delinquents trashing and robbing a gas station out of sheer boredom became the second highest grossing film that year, as well as a national sensation with the word "attack" placed in random contexts becoming household vocabulary.

Director Kim Sang-jin has taken the megaphone into his hands for a second time to direct its sequel, "Attack the Gas Station 2".
But it's hard for sequels to live up the glory of its predecessor, especially when the original was a megahit.
The new movie's flaws are reflected in its very title. The film is nothing but a sequel; lacking the ability to stand and breathe on its own, it can only clutch desperately onto the number 2 at the end of its name. It is, at best, a homage to the original, with a younger cast and up-to-date music thrashing about.
Park Young-keu returns to the screen as the ill-fated gas station owner Mr. Park. He endorses the scheme of setting a thief to catch a thief, and proactively takes measures to counter motorcycle gang attacks by hiring a quartet of dodgy boys: a former kimchi factory heir who had to serve time for his lethal punch (Ji Hyeon-woo); a once-promising footballer with a killer high kick (Jo Han-seon); a potbellied wrestler who idolizes women (Moon Won-joo); and a video game addict who has mastered the art of bluffing fighting skills (Jeong Jae-hoon-I).
But Park ends up shooting his own foot when his four employees decide they have had enough of his tyrannical ways. With the help of a band of rather harmless troublemaking teens, the boys instigate a coup: they assume command of the gas station in order to collect their overdue salaries while Park, along with a buddy and a bevy of cheerleaders, succumbs to being held hostage on his own property.
These "anarchists" attract all the drivers in town by offering a cash-only, 50 percent sale. As the money starts rolling in, with the cheerleaders cheering on the side, however, a full-scale siege draws near as a bus-full of runaway "moralist" prisoners, a rebellious teenage motorcycle gang, a group of real gangsters and a drunk journalist (representing the conservative media giants under scrutiny these days) make their way to the hotspot.
The film tries to derive laughter in Park's Catch-22 situation, which he embraces with surprising grace as he is forced to build a castle with soda cans, and the shift in allegiance and power among the hostages and their captors as different characters enter and leave the gas station, with a pinch of Stockholm Syndrome on the side.
If the first installment's wonderfully absurd take on modern life served as a refreshing kick during the woeful aftermath of the Asian financial crisis, then the second poses as a laughable bark protesting high oil prices and the growing divide between the haves and have-nots. Even when viewed as mindless diversion, however, the jokes just aren't very funny.
But it isn't all too terrible though. The gritty action and discordant exuberance in the tradition of "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" is there, with some moments of crafty bemusement. Yet it's bigger, and not bolder, and there are no weighty screen personas to fill in for the bad script and slow editing.

Movie Plot Summary:

Also known as "Dad Likes Women"

Ji-hyeon (Lee Na-young) is enjoying a perfect life as a beautiful photographer following a sex-change operation,
until a young boy claiming that she had fathered him comes knocking at her door. Trouble ensues as Ji-hyeon tries to act like a conventional dad while her boyfriend (Kim Ji-seok-I) grows increasingly suspicious.

Movie Lady Daddy Reviews:

Lee had a lot of fun filming it, and seems quite impervious to her looks. Where does her confidence spring from? "None of the parts I've played in films were pretty. In fact, I get stressed out if I have to look pretty. I keep thinking, 'what if I don't?'" As for playing a man, "I've wanted to do a part like that for quite a long time. Some actresses have done it recently. I was especially impressed by Cate Blanchett's performance in 'I'm Not There'," she said. "When I read the screenplay, I was worried that I might misrepresent the image of transgender people due to my insufficient knowledge, but I was attracted to the uniqueness of the material. I thought the theme would be more appealing and easier for the audience to understand when combined with comedy".
"Lady Daddy" will have to challenge huge blockbusters "Avatar" by James Cameron and "JEON WOO CHI : The Taoist Wizard" by Choi Dong-hoon. Is Lee just unlucky in terms of box office success? "Someone Special" and "Who Are You - Movie" found moderate belated success only after the screening was finished. This time she also has a cold snap to contend with, which might keep people at home. But Lee is determined not to let that put her off.

Wedding Dress Movie Plot:

Go-eun (Song Yoon-ah), a wedding dress designer and single mom, has only a limited number of days to live. Before parting from her young daughter So-ra (Kim Hyang-gi), Go-eun wants to do everything she can for her, including making a beautiful wedding dress for So-ra for the future. As her condition worsens, So-ra finds out about the cancer and tries to fulfill her mother's wishes one by one, in secret

Story Of Movie Wedding Dress:

Simply told, film "Wedding Dress" is about a mother who will soon die and her young daughter. But the movie itself is not as simple or cold-hearted as it was just said -- the process of how Go-eun, played by actress Song Yoon-ah and Sorah, by child actor Kim Hyang-ki, are shown spending their remaining time together is sad enough to dry up the viewer's tear ducts.

Wedding dress designer Go-eun, who had worked so hard her whole life that she had never packed her daughter's lunchbox before, is diagnosed with stomach cancer one day. When she dies, Sorah will be left alone because her dad passed away much earlier. So Go-woon packs a lunchbox all night long and takes Sorah to the beach to give her daughter memories to cherish after she dies. She also starts making a wedding dress that Sorah will wear one day. But Go-woon's body becomes too fragile and collapses before she completes the wedding dress....More

Movie Wedding Dress Reviews:

Amid the speedy, adventure-packed film releases, "Wedding Dress", a mellow family drama with an andante tempo, seeks to provoke a different sensibility ― to gently pull at the heartstrings of sometimes over-stimulated viewers.

The teary mother-daughter story may be more appropriate for a May release in time for Family Month, and it would have greatly benefitted from some heavy editing to speed up the painful crawling pace and straight-to-DVD movie quality. Nevertheless, compelling child actress Kim Hyang-ki turns cliched predictability into something tastefully classic, and the movie will undoubtedly become a steady cable TV movie listing for the general audience.
Song Yoon-ah plays the role of Go-un, a wedding dress designer who is more often seen frantically running around to correct mistakes than working with chiffon. (The amiable actress, who is more familiar in more elegant roles, is at times surprisingly irritating as the scatterbrained woman).
Nevertheless, the young widow manages to make ends meet for herself and her loving, though rather cheeky, little daughter So-ra (Kim). She may not be the most adept parent but never forgets to pick up an umbrella-less So-ra from school when it's pouring outside.
Meanwhile, Go-un ― or rather the pitchy-voiced Song ― redeems herself by revealing that her exaggerated efforts at making everyone around her happy are simply a means of preparing for her death (though the movie makes no secret of the fact that she has cancer). The film's title alludes to Go-un's ultimate parting gift, a special dress for her daughter's wedding, which she will never get to see.
So-ra is however preoccupied with her own problems, having to deal with a borderline case of obsessive compulsive disorder, which causes her to refuse to share food with others. She is ostracized at school and even cuts ballet class, finding refuge in hanging out at the neighboring "taekgyeon" (a Korean martial art) class.
Local screens, both big and small, have been dominated lately by flawed personalities, both fictional and real. So-ra, adorable as she is, exhibits a relatively mild case of unpleasant fits compared to other "national brats" in the media, but the film's comic relief mostly revolves around So-ra being less-than-pleasant to her enthusiastic mother.

So-ra, who learned to look after herself from a young age, is always pouting if not also mumbling her nagging comments to her mother. The precocious young girl may have grown up too fast under the care ― or lack thereof ― of her immature single mom, but naturally she cannot live without her.
The movie's heartfelt moments are rooted in So-ra's coming-of-age as she pretends to be oblivious to her mother's condition while fulfilling her mother's wishes one by one, trying to make the best of their limited time together.
The movie follows in the footsteps of films that highlight familial love that flows upstream, from child to parent, while dealing with premature death. A notable candidate for comparison is "Aeja", about a bickering mother and daughter who learn to bond in the face of terminal illness.
"Wedding Dress" may have been stonger and delivered the narrative more effectively had it shown the entire story from the child's perspective. But its dramatic quality is at the same time heightened by the switch in perspective.

In Higanjima, a man and his friends travel to a mysterious island in search of his vanished brother. The island turns out to be inhabited by vampires
Oh hello! Manga, vampires, blood, swords… it's all here! Welcome to the trailer for Tae-gyun Kim's Island of Vampires (Higanjima), an adaptation of the Japanese manga of the same title which centers on Saki, a student who goes searching for her brother who has mysteriously disappeared. Her search leads her to a mysterious island called Higanjima which is home to a village populated by vampires.
The trailer sells this as a big, Hollywood style action spectacle (complete with rock music), which I'm not sure does the film any great favors but I do love me some vampires and these certainly look murderous. Not sure I'm really digging the caked on makeup but who am I to judge? I've seen more than my share of bad make-up jobs in good films so I'm willing to overlook this minor transgression for the awesomeness the rest of the trailer suggests.
What are the chances WB will release this in the US if it does well in Japan? I'm not sure but I've got my fingers crossed!

Korean Movie Reviews:

We already mentioned a live-action 彼岸岛 (Higanjima) was in the planning stages, for a Summer 2009 release. This adaptation of the supernatural-horror manga by クーデタークラブ (Coup d'État Club)'s Matsumoto Koji will be written by Oishi Tetsuya of デスノート(Death Note) and directed by Kim Tae-Gyun. Perhaps a peculiar choice, only on the strength of his 화산고 (Volcano High), particularly considering the rest of his career has been all over the place.
He's directed passable comedies -- 박봉곤 가출 사건 (The Adventures of Mrs. Park) in 1996; proto-Hallyu romcoms -- 키스 할까요? (First Kiss) in 1998; trendy crowd pleasers -- 늑대의 유혹 (Romance of Their Own) in 2004 and 백만장자의 첫사랑 (A Millionaire's First Love) in 2006; and recently even a drama about the divide, 크로싱 (Crossing). A tad "fish out of water" for something like Higanjima, you'd think. But, then again, Volcano High is perhaps the closest to a live-action manhwa Chungmuro has ever gotten, so it also makes kind of sense.
Anyhow, the top tier casting has been finally announced. Leading the list will be Yamamoto Koji, recently seen in the masterpiece パンドラ (Pandora), and Watanabe Dai of クローズZERO (Crows ZERO). What's interesting is that producers Courage Pictures are also involved in another Korea-Japan co-production, 보트 (Boat) starring the great Cha Su-Yeon, Ha Jung-Woo, and Tsumabuchi Satoshi. Total budget is set at 6 Billion yen (roughly 57 million US$), to be split between Korea and Japan (crew will also be mixed). The film starts shooting on October 1 until mid December, for an August double-header in Korea and Japan.

Behind Story:

Kang Min-Ho of the night at the mouth of Geum chugyeokssin feelings and sense of urgency filled the screen while pressing him to pay was an important and difficult scenes. The production crew from the beginning of the hunting and careful meticulous work Conti said. Under the searing summer sun, Sol Kyung-gu was the start of the chase. Beyond the fence, a narrow alley, past the hechimyeo seemed crazy, the pursuit continued for 48 hours. However, there were running alone on the verge of exhaustion of the ordeal I went 설경구 not stop here, in a car crash or fall, such as rolling over on the hill was applying. One bite, do not let go, like a hunting dog with Sol Kyung-gu plays the evil spirit playing time after the shooting ended perfectly. Weary body, but the eyes do not shake itself was the appearance of Kang Min-Ho. Kang Min-Ho's desperate to save her heart intact hamgwa stronger action-oriented pursuit of the scene represented a number of traditional Korea was not found in the film was completed as drastic and realistic scenes.
"There is no forgiveness" a new forensic material was going to go to the cinema story. Character of the profession, the autopsy doctor, due to the unique setting realistic autopsy scene in South Korea's first film were taken. To create a body similar to the actual and supposed to be a special team of the Gangnam-one months in hospitals work to seal the autopsy shows the actual observed fat politicians. The murder story based on the deployment of the body because it conforms to the very detail of his crew's belief that it was a must. Pig's intestine, eun yukbu, giblets, and special
materials used in silicon production process for a pile more than two months have been spent, the numerous trials and materials must be imported from abroad because of the conditions have heard quite a lot of money. Similar to the actor's skin color would be a formidable crew was the most difficult process was the beef. Summer is a narrow one on the set filming the smell of pig eun yukbu staff then he just builds a weak stomach can not tolerate the disturbance ttwichyeonaga was unearthly. Created through the laborious process of careful examination of the scene Korea movie let one step upgrade was a big leap.
The movie is directed to the most bitter part of care?
This film is not retribution by boksugeuk cheukeunjisim boksugeuk because of the victim and the perpetrator SH Kang Min-Ho that had a lot of effort to see on the horizon. Reversal of good and evil in the Old ssinyina ending to a prominent theme at the beginning I do not think the intention muteonal thought two people had to go on the horizon as possible.
