Kim Kardashian soaked in drink by fan's jealous girlfriend
Monday, October 11, 2010, 11:37 [IST]
Washington (ANI): American Socialite Kim Kardashian was apparently flung a drink at by a girl in NYC supper club bar after the reality TV star posed in a photo with the jealous woman's boyfriend. The 29-year-old star was covered in alchohol after the angry lady fired the drink, but Kardashian stayed calm, reports tmz.com.
However, her sister's baby daddy, Scott Disick, was infuriated and had to be restrained. Although no one was injured in the melee and the Kardashian clan was able to leave the establishment right after the ruckus.
Later, Kim Kardashian took to blogging to reach out to everyone who was concerned about her melee at the bar. She explained a wild night with her sisters Khloe, 26, and Kourtney, 31, and Kourtney's boyfriend Scott Disick through a blog.
"I'm totally fine, guys, I want to address this because everyone has been asking me if I'm ok after the bar fight last night," People magazine quoted Kardashian as blogging. "A drunk male fan came up to me and asked to take a picture, and I obliged, but his girlfriend, who was also drunk, got a little out of hand. Luckily I had Scott and Khloe there to protect me."
"None of us were drinking, we just wanted a fun family night out, but when people see the cameras rolling, they try to get attention. I always take the high road, so we all left straight after and didn't feed into their drama, she added," she added.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali Turns Music Director With “Guzaarish”
by Kiran Pahwa on Sun, 10/10/2010
Trust Sanjay Leela Bhansali to do something new each time he makes a new film. While the director has received much acclaim worldwide for his works, “Guzaarish”, Bhansali’s latest offering, will see him in a very different role. Sanjay Leela Bhansali makes his debut as a music director in his next film which tells the story of a paraplegic magician and his nurse wife. Hence “Guzaarish” will see Sanjay Leela Bhansali as its director and music composer, and this is reason enough for his fans to go watch the movie!
So what inspired Sanjay Bhansali to don the musician’s cap all of a sudden? Bhansali promptly replies that he has been engaged with the project for quite a long time now and thus feels that nobody will understand the emotions that the characters in his film go through better than him. He also added that it would have been really difficult for him to make another composer understand, the musical expressions that are required from his leading actors in “Guzaarish”. Though Sanjay Leela Bhansali reminds us that his knowledge of music is limited and he is not particularly sure about the reactions of his listeners, the interest has already reached its peak. The title track has been sung by KK and Shail Hada.
More reason to watch “Guzaarish” would be the comeback of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan onscreen. Their chemistry has been a hit with the Indian audience in the past and the jodi certainly remain at the top of our ‘guzaarish’ list.

by Kiran Pahwa on Sun, 10/10/2010
With the festival season round the corner, people are also anticipating the release of some good Bollywood films to add to the celebrations in the present and next month. And one of the most anticipated movies, this year, is Rohit Shetty directed “Golmaal 3”. While promos of the third part of the popular comedy series have already been aired on television, the music for the film was aired exclusively for the country by the radio station 94.3 My FM. The radio station aired the title track of “Golmaal 3” on all its 17 stations across the country on the 5th of October.
Since the film was highly anticipated, its music did not take much time to reach the top of charts at almost every countdown. The Pritam Chakraborty composition includes songs penned by lyricist Kumar. Kunal Ganjawala and Anoushka Manchanda have lent their voices to the title track, a foot tapping number which has been liked by both the young and old around the country. In a statement released after the first song of “Golmaal 3” was made public, Harrish M. Bhatia, CEO of 94.3 My FM said that the station has tried its best in the past to provide the best songs to the music-loving people of India and this time, too, it was a step to that effect adding that he was proud to be the first to introduce the music of “Golmaal 3” in India.
“Golmaal 3” is a comedy with a multiple star cast of Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade with Kunal Khemu for company.

Is Kareena Still Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine'
by Kiran Pahwa on Sun, 10/10/2010
Few days back, Kareena Kapoor was reported to have moved out of filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar’s next project 'Heroine'. It was said that the actress had quit the film because her director friend Lovely Singh’s father was not allowed to meet Bhandarkar, even after waiting for three hours at his office.
Since then, it was speculated that the movie might have been canned. Heroine is believed to be a modern-day version of Shyam Benegal’s 1977 film Bhumika, which starred Smita Patil. Bhumika was based on the life of renowned Marathi actress Hansa Wadkar whereas Heroine is supposed to be on a Bollywood actress and her relationships with the five men in her life.
Madhur has reportedly made a three-hour documentary on some Hollywood divas like Elizabeth Taylor, Vivian Leigh, Marilyn Monroe and Eva Gardner. These Hollywood stars along with Bollywood heartthrobs like Meena Kumari, Madhubala, and Nargis have supposedly served as reference to help Kareena to get into the character.
A report suggested that Bebo wanted to delete the five lovemaking scenes in the film, which features a Bollywood actor with two kids. It was because her beau Saif Ali Khan bears close resemblance with the character. It is also reported that Kareena has asked for friendly co-stars to be casted in the film so that she can have a certain comfort level with them.
However, the actress has denied the reports saying that she has not yet read the script so there is no question of suggesting any cut.

Bollywood queen Rani Mukherjee is likely to be seen in a Bengali film titled Africa.
Rani Mukherjee Likely To Do Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Next Bengali Film
by Kiran Pahwa on Sun, 10/10/2010
Bollywood queen Rani Mukherjee is likely to be seen in a Bengali film titled Africa. Two-time National Award winning filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury has reportedly approached the actress with the project and she is most likely to sign it.
If Rani agrees to sign the project then it will be her first full-fledged Bengali film. She was seen in a Bengali film called Biyer Phool in 1992, which was directed by her father Ram Mukherjee. But it was not that significant because she did not have a full- length role in the film.
A source was quoted saying that the director had met Rani in Mumbai and narrated the story to her. Rani was reportedly excited and asked Aniruddha to come to Mumbai again after completing the script.
On the other hand, the Bengali filmmaker has also met actress Rituparna Sengupta, who is thinking that she is doing the film.
As per the source, Aniruddha will be in Mumbai again in the next couple of days to meet Rani with the finalized script.
Africa is said to be a female-centric movie and if Rani comes on board then she will be playing the lead role.
The filmmaker has confirmed the news saying that he had met Rani but nothing has been confirmed yet. He added that he is still working on the script and it will be too early to discuss about it. However, he said that Rani is one of his favorite actresses and he would love to work with her.
Well, Rani was missing from action after the release of her film Dil Bole Hadippa in 2009. Her Bollywood career does not seem go further ahead so it will be a wise decision if she signs the Bengali film to make her presence felt in the industry!

Actor Ravi Dubey, who has bagged the lead role in Sony TV's upcoming show `Saas Bina Sasural'.
Ravi Dubey To Star In ‘Saas Bina Sasural’
by Kiran Pahwa on Sat, 10/09/2010
Actor Ravi Dubey, who is now playing the role of Omi in Zee TV's `12/24 Karol Bagh', has bagged the lead role in Sony TV's upcoming show `Saas Bina Sasural'.
As the name of the show suggests, there will no female domination in the show, which is usually seen in Indian television scenario. Ravi is definitely lucky as an actor to get this role in a show that boasts of only male actors.
A source was quoted saying that the new show of Sony TV, made by Optymistic, is devoid of lead female characters and the house is ruled only by the males.
The source added that veteran actor Darshan Jariwala will be playing the male lead of the house and Ravi Dubey is playing the only guy among the seven male family members, who dares to be in love with a girl. The source further said that the family will be shown totally against the thought of welcoming a female member in their house.
Ravi Dubey was quoted saying that nothing is confirmed yet and he will announce it once he signs on the dotted lines.
As the storyline suggests, it is reported that the show has taken inspiration from the Bollywood movie Hulchul, which starred Kareena Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Amrish Puri, Sunil Shetty, Arbaaz Khan, Jackie Shroff, and Arshad Warsi.
`Saas Bina Sasural' is reportedly launching on October 18 and will be aired on 10 PM slot.

Talented Akshaye Khanna has come out of his cocoon to promote his forthcoming thriller "Aakrosh",
I like being invisible: Akshaye Khanna
by Supreet Sharma on Mon, 10/11/2010
Mumbai, Oct 11 : Talented Akshaye Khanna has come out of his cocoon to promote his forthcoming thriller "Aakrosh", but the low profile actor admits he loves dodging the media glare and enjoys being invisible.
"I love being low profile. I don't like to be in the press all the time. There are some people who love to be everywhere and visible all the time. I don't like it. I like to be invisible," Akshaye, who is known as a recluse in the industry, told IANS in an interview.
But he doesn't mind bending rules to promote his releases. "Definitely, when my film is about to release, I do whatever I can."
"In my invisible time, I watch a lot of movies, I read a lot, I have friends and family so I spend time with them and I sleep to the fullest. That's what I enjoy," said the actor who was launched by his actor-politician father Vinod Khanna with the 1997 movie "Himalaya Putra".
The 35-year-old, who has done films like "Taal", "Border", "Dil Chahta Hai", "Humraaz", "Hungama", "Hulchul", "Gandhi - My Father" and "Race", doesn't do too many films and claims it is safer to operate that way.
"I believe in today's time it's better to sit at home than do a bad film. I'm very satisfied with my career. It's been 16 years since I gave my first shot. It's been a long time. In a population of one billion, very few people get this opportunity to work in films. So I feel very blessed. It's not easy to survive as an actor. So I'm very happy," added the actor.
Akshaye, who was last seen in the 2009 release "Shortkut - The Con is On", is looking forward to his first release of the year "Aakrosh".
Releasing Friday, the action drama that revolves around honour killings will see Akshaye working with Ajay Devgn after a gap of eight years. The two were last seen in the 2002 film "Deewangee".
"I've got back with Ajay in a film after eight years. In fact, I told him recently that we should work together more often. Apart from having a very good personal relationship, I think we share a very good chemistry on screen.
"We work well together as actors and there is a comfort level between us and I think that's very important," revealed Akshaye, who is playing a cop in the film, directed by Priyadarshan.
The film also stars Bipasha Basu and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles.
Asked whether he would like to get into production or direction like his contemporaries, the actor refused.
"I have no plans to get into direction or production. I just don't have any inclination. Some people have and they feel that one day they will direct a film, but I don't have any such wish. I'm very happy being an actor."
After "Aakrosh", the actor will also be seen in Farah Khan's directorial venture "Tees Maar Khan" at the end of the year.

Arterton discovers a writer in herself
by Kiran Pahwa on Mon, 10/11/2010
London, Oct 11 : British actress Gemma Arterton discovered she's got a promising career as a writer ahead of her while penning her character's journal in new movie "Tamara Drewe".
In order to get into the mind of her character, the former Bond girl scribbled down Drewe's back story and the film's screenwriter Moira Buffini was suitably impressed, reports contactmusic. com.
"I would write a little journal just to get into her thought pattern and then you start thinking like the character. I've never had the confidence to write but I've always admired writers... but with Tamara, I started writing a back story and it was really funny and I showed it to Moira Buffini, who wrote the screenplay and she said, 'This is really good'," she said.
"Maybe that's because I'm writing as the character; if I was writing about my own life it would be as dull as dishwater. As Tamara, it was sassy and sparky. Maybe that's what I should do - be different characters each day and dress up. I maybe on to a winner," she added.

It is said that Aishwarya Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan will soon be spending a lazy holiday in Italy with George Clooney and his Italian girlfriend. However, dates for the holiday have not been confirmed as yet, considering the tight schedule that the actors have to follow round the year.
If reports are to be believed, Ash-Abhi may take out some time from their busy routine towards the end of the year and enjoy the much-needed holiday. All they have to do is inform their friend about the trip beforehand. Till then, we have to wait and watch!

Kareena Kapoor is trying to put on weight for the last couple of months for her forthcoming films.
Kareena abandons her size zero figure

Kareena Kapoor has a penchant to grab the spotlight, for all the things she does (and sometimes doesn’t). While the nation has not yet forgotten the size-zero figure made popular by her, the news is doing rounds that she is trying to put on weight for the last couple of months for her forthcoming films.
While this may come across as a bad news for all, who tried their best to get rid of the extra kilos in an attempt to emulate Kareena Kapoor, the sexy Bollywood lass has decided that it is time to bring back her own plumper self again.
When questioned by the media on the sudden change in her statistics, Kareena Kapoor laughed away saying that little did she expect that her weight would one day become a national issue. She added that it is her way of pleasing her fans, who prefer the slightly fatter Kareena.
Bebo has just turned 30, and with it has also completed a decade in the industry. A combination of hits and flops, Kareena Kapoor’s career graph has surely been an eyesore for many of her peers. Currently shooting for partner Saif Ali Khan’s venture Agent Vinod, Kareena rules out getting back to her size-zero status even for Karan Johar’s Short Term Shaadi.

Hrithik Roshan tried to change Paani script?

Hrithik Roshan is in the news again for all the wrong reasons. The grapevine abuzz with the news that he tried to change the script of his forthcoming film Paani, but the actor said that it’s just a rumour.
“Another unwanted rumour regarding Paani. Actors like myself, aspiring to work with greats like Shekhar Kapur, do not demand script changes,” he wrote on Twitter. “It would be my good fortune and a blessing if I get an opportunity to work with him, a genius director and an even greater human being! Pls (Please) respected people of the press, set the record straight,” he added.
Paani is a futuristic film about water wars between rich and poor to be directed by Shekhar Kapoor and produced by Oscar winner Danny Boyle and Sharan Kapoor. Hrithik is going to act with Twilight actress Kristen Stewart and Christoph Waltz in the film.

"Crook is a winner" - Emraan Hashmi

There are a bunch of grown up men (Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan) fighting it out for a place at the top. Then there are the current set of boys (Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, John Abraham, Imran Khan, Neil Nitin Mukesh), who are getting their credentials in place to be Generation Next superstars. And then there is Emraan Hashmi, who has been enjoying his own loyal audience over the last seven years.
This correspondent catches up with the young man, who has been going through a very good phase in his career, especially post Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, which has turned out to be his biggest grosser till date and is still running at a few centres.
Let me begin with a cliched question. With Crook, you are coming up with your annual Bhatt starrer. Really, you seem to be pretty content signing most of your films with them.
Come on, how can you say that? I think people should have stopped asking me this question a year back when I started work on Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. Now, my next film Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji is with Madhur Bhandarkar. I would also be working in the next films of Milan (Luthria) and Dibakar (Banerjee). I guess this is a good number of movies outside Vishesh Films.
Errr...that's true actually. Having said that, Mohit (Suri) and you definitely are a team, aren't you? After all your partnership that started off with Zeher has continued with Kalyug, Gangster, Awarapan, Raaz - The Mystery Continues and now Crook.
Well yes, our sensibilities are pretty much matching. We have given hits together but it is important that we don't become complacent or get carried away. Even though he is a family member, we respect each other as creative professionals. Even for Crook: It’s Good To Be Bad, I had to make myself 100% sure on whether I really wanted to do it. I was sure that if the film would have only been about racism, I wouldn't have done it.
But then eventually that is being used as a selling point, isn't it?
No, it isn't. Are you seeing us taking out any kind of flag march or protests around the issue? Do you see us getting into any kind of debates in any of the forums? Till date, we have never claimed that with this film is going to find a solution to a social problem like this. All we are doing is telling a story in an entertaining manner.
Watch Movie Trailer:
Still, knowing the reputation of coming up with hard hitting films, Vishesh Films would again be accused of using a global issue for their benefit...
(Interrupts) There would be people all the time, who would have something to say. Log to kuch naa kuch kehne hi waale hain; aap kuch bhi kaam kar lo. As I said, all we are doing is picking up an issue and sharing a point of view. Neither are we changing the society nor aspiring to.
You also mentioned that the story is being told in an entertaining manner. Really, when the subject of discussion is something as severe as racism, how does the entertainment quotient set in?
Well, for any story to work with a larger mass of audience, there has to be a human aspect to it as well. (Mahesh) Bhatt saab likes doing it that way, and rightly so. Even in Jannat, when the issue being raised was around match fixing, the focal element was a strong love story and morality of this character. Same holds good in Crook where the choice is between good and bad. It is about looking within yourself rather than only the external forces at play.
However, you seem to be spreading the message of 'it's good to be bad'. Looks like you are continuing to play characters that are anti-heroes for sure, if not the villain. You did the same in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai as well.
In fact, I had reservations about doing a film like Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, hich was about underworld. There have been films made in the past that have set benchmark in this genre. Pick up Company, Satya or Vaastav - these are all cult movies. I didn't want to do a crime film that was any lesser than these. Milan (Luthria) had to do some convincing before I nodded in agreement.
You must be pleased with the results today...
Picture chal jaaye toh hindsight mein toh sab achcha lagta hai. But imagine the time when I had to take a judgemental call. The film was a risk because despite an interesting storyline, it was very-very different from anything else that is being made today. There is always a scare factor that people would step into the film with some preconceived notion and then not be entirely happy with what is offered to them.
In this context, were you far more confident about Crook from the very beginning?
My instinct says that audience will really connect to the film and the character. I could sense that at the time when I had signed the film and it also works for me today when it is ready for release. I know for sure that Crook is a winner.

London, (ANI): Welsh lingerie model Danielle Lineker and British singer Stacey Solomon joined hands with other stars to promote Asda’s breast cancer campaign.
The two and other stars have stripped off to model products from Asda’s 2010 Tickled Pink campaign. They pose in sheets, flowers and underwear from the range and a percentage of the sales from the items will go to Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign.
The cause is particularly close to former X Factor contestant 21-year-old Stacey Solomon’s heart. “My aunt suffered from breast cancer a couple of years ago and she was only in her 30s – that’s why the campaign means so much to me,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
Danielle Lineker, 31, wife of former footballer Gary, who posed seductively in a sheet from the Tickled Pink range, revealed that someone close had been affected by the disease.
“A close friend lost her mum to the disease at the beginning of this year, which is why I thought it was so important to show my support this Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” she added.
Over 21 million pounds has been raised for breast cancer since the campaign’s launch in 1996.

Television actress Shweta Tiwari may well be ensconced inside the Bigg Boss house for the last few days but controversy has not stopped courting her. This time, it is not because of something that happened inside the house. Reports in the media suggest that Shweta Tiwari is a victim of domestic abuse, yet again.
The actress’ husband Raja Chowdhry had earlier faced police wrath for violence at home but this has apparently not stopped him from committing the same crime all over again. The authorities at Malad police station have alleged that Shweta Tiwari had filed a non-cognisable offence against Raja Chowdhry three days before entering the Bigg Boss house.
Police officials are also of the opinion that though the couple have separated for as long as three years now, the actress’ estranged husband maintains a regular touch with his former wife, often calling her and also paying visits to her place at Shiv Shakti Society in Malad West.
It was on such a visit on September 30 that Raja Chowdhry, supposedly under the influence of alcohol, slammed into Shweta Tiwari’s home and started abusing and slapping her, as a result of which, the actress suffered injuries.
Reports said that Shweta Tiwari filed a complaint but did not lodge FIR at the Malad police station. Shweta is currently a contestant of Bigg Boss 4, and it is yet to be seen whether she goes ahead with a complaint to the courts.

London, Oct 10 : "Made In Dagenham" actress Rosamund Pike is distraught that her former boyfriend and movie director Joe Wright has secretly married Indian sitar player Anushka Shankar.
The pain is more because Wright married the Indian after calling off his wedding with Rosamund at the last minute. Anoushka is daughter of sitar maestro Ravi Shankar and half-sister of singer Norah Jones.
Wright, 37, who made "Atonement" and "Pride & Prejudice", married Anoushka, 29, in London last month in the presence of family and friends. The couple is expecting their first child, dailymail. co. uk.
"Anoushka and Joe wanted a quiet affair with close family and friends," says a friend of the couple.
"Ros was devastated when she found out as she hadn't been told. It was quite different to the big wedding she had planned with Joe.
"Anoushka believes a wedding is a spiritual affair. She had no interest in a media circus."
Rosamund, 31, was due to marry Wright in September 2008 but the wedding was cancelled after she sent out invitations with the couple pictured in a hot tub.

‘Dumped’ Prince Harry ‘moves on’ with Chelsy Davy lookalike
by Kiran Pahwa on Sun, 10/10/2010
London, Oct 10 : It seems Prince Harry has moved on from his split with Chelsy Davy.
The royal has found a stunning new girlfriend only weeks after he was reportedly dumped by Davy.
Harry has been on a series of dates with blondemarketing girl Gemma Wilkinson – an uncanny lookalike of Davy – and has told friends he “couldn’t be happier”.
“She’s very similar in looks to Chelsy and Harry loves a blonde,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.
The two have been on the same social circuit in London for some years now and recently got it together after being introduced by mutual friends.
“They both party in clubs like Raffles around the King’s Road so it’s no surprise their paths have crossed. But Harry seems quite taken by her right now, the source said.
“At the moment it’s nothing serious – but who knows what the future may hold.
“They’re quite content enjoying a ‘no-strings’ style relationship for now,” the source added.

The theme of the show was to define each era of the Hindi film industry,
Salman brings alive Bollywood's bygone era at couture week
by Kiran Pahwa on Sun, 10/10/2010
Mumbai Oct 10 : From the silent era of the 1920s to the elegance of the 1940s to the sex symbols of 1970s - Bollywood divas like Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerji and Sushmita Sen brought the film industry's glorious past alive on the ramp at Salman Khan's "Being Human" show at HDIL-India Couture Week, which witnessed electrifying energy, houseful attendance and an enthusiastic audience.
The theme of the show was to define each era of the Hindi film industry, hence the presentation of the show was very different and innovative. Before the actresses sashayed down the ramp Saturday night, a short audio-visual was screened on the particular period and dances were performed to highlight the entertainment aspect of that time.
For instance, the 1930s were defined by tap dance and the 1940s by qawallis.
The first to hit the runway was Priety Zinta, know for her dimpled smile and western look. Dressed in a red knee-length dress, she represented 1920s and with her elegance and glamour quotient, she did full justice.
She was followed by Katrina Kaif. Dressed in a long red gown, she depicted the 1930s, known for "Fearless" Nadia for her stunts and other gyrations in films like "Hunterwali".
Then, Rani Mukherji walked the ramp in a black velvet choli and white lehenga, bringing alive the elegance of the 1940s.
To recreate the flirtatious 1950s, Bipasha Basu walked the ramp in a short black outfit looking her sexier best.
The swinging 1960s was dominated by Shammi Kapoor and the rock and roll culture and who better than his grand niece Karisma Kapoor could do justice to it! Draped in a red sari, the actress, who has taken a break from work, oozed the same glamour and poise that was seen in the screen beauties of that period.
But the most thunderous applause was reserved for Sushmita Sen, who depicted the flamboyance and freedom of women in 1970s when she came dressed in multi-coloured kaftan top and golden mini skirt. The crowed roared, cheered and applauded and when she hit the stage she acknowledged their love with a "Thank You".
After this it was Priyanka Chopra's turn to wow the audience. Dressed in a white baby-doll dress, she represented the silver screen's glam girls of the 1980s.
After that, Karisma's sister Kareena Kapoor, in a smart and sexy black power suit, walked the ramp depicting the women of 1990s who are breaking the glass ceiling in a mans world.
And, no pints for guessing who stole the show: Definitely Salman Khan, who wore red trousers and a black trench coat with glares and walked the ramp with a smile. The crowd just went ballistic.
Most of the dresses were designed by Manish Malhotra and Arjun Khanna, among others. In all, Salman should be credited for putting an awesome show that boasted of great drama. But, where was the couture in it?

Wife of former White Sox second baseman Roberto Alomar has accused him of having unprotected sex with her even though he knew that he was HIV-positive
Wife reports ex-Sox 2B Alomar exposed her to HIV
by Pawan Shukla on 2010, October 10
Wife of former White Sox second baseman Roberto Alomar has accused him of having unprotected sex with her even though he knew that he was HIV-positive.
In divorce papers filed in Florida, Maria Del Pilar “Maripily” Rivera Alomar said that her husband “intentionally” concealed his medical condition from her in order to get her to have unprotected sex with him.
She claims, “Alomar knew prior to his first sexual contact with (her) that he was HIV-positive,” the New York Post reported Thursday.
The charges against him filed by his wife very similar to the ones that were made in a lawsuit filed last year by former girlfriend Ilya Dall.
Alomar’s lawyer had called the suits filed by Dall baseless and the case was settled last year. Dall sought $15 million from Alomar and accused him of having unprotected sex with her for four years.
His current wife, Rivera, was his girlfriend then and had defended Almora calling Dall’s lawsuit “a vile lie”.
In the 1990s Alomar was one of the best player of baseball making 12 straight All-star appearances and winning two World Series with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Taylor Swift sued by ex-manager
by Kiran Pahwa on Sun, 10/10/2010
London, Oct 10 - Country singer Taylor Swift and her parents have been sued by her former manager over non-payment.
Dan Dymtrow claims he is owed millions in commission for discovering Swift, signing her when she was 14 and playing a major role in her career, before she left him and signed with Big Machine Records in 2005.
The lawsuit claims that the Swifts breached a management contract by only paying him $10,000. His original management deals with the Swifts detailed he would have been paid between 5-10 percent commission (or more).
"They delayed and delayed (the deal) and got rid of my client and subsequently signed the deal and kept his commissions for themselves," digitalspy. co. uk quoted Dymtrow's attorney Fernando Pinguelo as saying.
Swift's lawyer Paul LiCalsi said: "For him, to claim that her success and her major contracts were procured by him is ludicrous."
The Swifts claim that Dymtrow never obtained the proper legal approval of his management deal with the popstar, who was a minor then.
LiCalsi said: "Even if there were some merit to his claims, paying him on the contract would defeat the whole purpose of the law in New York, which is to protect minors who sign contracts."

"It's a big problem. My husband's been on my case. I have a bit of a truck (or) sailor (mouth)... It's been pretty bad since I was little and I picked it up from my parents. I do like the dirty jokes, I don't tell them around her though," said Heigl. (IANS)

Women targeted in party overdoses
By the CNN Wire Staff October 9, 2010 -- Updated 2337 GMT (0737 HKT)
(CNN) -- Young women at a party attended by about 50 Central Washington University students and other young people were the primary target of spiked drinks, authorities said Saturday.
The incident resulted in "multiple" reports of overdoses.
Some of the victims said they had consumed only one or two beverages before becoming ill, Cle Elum-Roslyn Police Chief Scott Ferguson said.
"Their level of intoxication just didn't seem to make sense," he told CNN Radio.
Central Washington University students who attended the party told CNN affiliate KOMO on Saturday that they believe a bottle of vodka at the party had been spiked with a date-rape drug known as "roofies."
They said several people at the party used vodka from the bottle to make mixed drinks. Those who brought their own alcohol, drank beer or didn't drink any alcohol were not affected, the students told KOMO.
Ferguson would not comment on the type of drug placed in the beverages. He said he will ask the Washington State Patrol Crime Laboratory to expedite test results.
Police do not know who spiked the drinks.
"Whatever occurred up there wasn't consensual," Ferguson told CNN.

Officers initially responded to an 11:09 p.m. call Friday about a female found unconscious in a vehicle in a grocery store parking lot, Ferguson said.
Friends of the victim told authorities to go to a residence in Roslyn, according to a statement from the Cle Elum Police Department.
An officer entered one room and took a man into custody who was having sex with a semi-conscious young woman, said Ferguson.
Police later determined the woman was the girlfriend of the young man. She exhibited signs of having ingested a spiked drink, Ferguson said, and was taken to the hospital and later released. Her boyfriend was detained and questioned, but not booked. The investigation of that incident -- which authorities described earlier as a "possible sexual assault" -- continues, Ferguson said.
Several others at the party appeared to be suffering from overdoses at the residence.
None of the underage people who overdosed meant to get high or unconscious, said Ferguson, and none had more than one or two drinks, KOMO reported. Rather, he said, they appear to be victims of a scheme to render them unconscious and unable to resist or defend themselves.
The woman found in the parking lot remained in the hospital Saturday in stable condition, police said. Twelve people, 11 of them female, initially were taken to hospitals, police said. All except one were released.
The party took place at a rental home about 30 minutes from the university campus in Ellensburg, police said. The owner of the home was not at the party, police said.
Police interviewed about 35 others who attended the party, which they said was organized by a Central Washington student.
The university said it is "shaken and saddened" about the incident.
"CWU strictly enforces state law and university policy on underage drinking and illegal drug use," it said, adding that freshmen are educated on drug and alcohol abuse and sexual assault.
"Despite our best efforts, however, students sometimes make bad choices," the university said.
Students identified as being involved with the party will have a conduct hearing that could result in an intensive education course, referral to counselors or suspension, it said.
The school will hold information sessions Saturday and Sunday at residence halls, the statement said.
Police and schools typically warn young people to be careful about ingesting beverages. "Roofies," a street name for Rohypnol, is a tasteless and odorless drug, Boston University says in a fact sheet on its website, and easily dissolves in beverages.
The fact sheet advises students to watch their drinks, avoid punch bowls and not to accept opened beverages.
