Wife reports ex-Sox 2B Alomar exposed her to HIV

Wife of former White Sox second baseman Roberto Alomar has accused him of having unprotected sex with her even though he knew that he was HIV-positive.
In divorce papers filed in Florida, Maria Del Pilar “Maripily” Rivera Alomar said that her husband “intentionally” concealed his medical condition from her in order to get her to have unprotected sex with him.
She claims, “Alomar knew prior to his first sexual contact with (her) that he was HIV-positive,” the New York Post reported Thursday.
The charges against him filed by his wife very similar to the ones that were made in a lawsuit filed last year by former girlfriend Ilya Dall.
Alomar’s lawyer had called the suits filed by Dall baseless and the case was settled last year. Dall sought $15 million from Alomar and accused him of having unprotected sex with her for four years.
His current wife, Rivera, was his girlfriend then and had defended Almora calling Dall’s lawsuit “a vile lie”.
In the 1990s Alomar was one of the best player of baseball making 12 straight All-star appearances and winning two World Series with the Toronto Blue Jays.
