NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Access Hollywood has the online exclusive first look at the poster for HBO’s upcoming Kate Winslet-starring miniseries, “Mildred Pierce,” the Oscar winning actress’ first foray into television.

Set to debut on HBO on Sunday, March 27, this isn’t your mother’s “Mildred Pierce,” and fans of Joan Crawford’s Oscar winning performance in the 1945 film are in for a very different take.

“The big, big change is the Joan Crawford/the Michael Curtiz, film is framed by murder. [It] starts with a murder and works backward to figure out how the murder happened. So, when I first started reading the novel…[I said to our director] Todd [Haynes]… ‘I don’t get it. When did the murder happen? He’s like, ‘No you idiot. There is no murder.’ So that is the biggest change,” Executive Producer Christine Vachon of Killer Films told Access Hollywood of their update on the classic film.

Whitney Houston's hit movie The Bodyguard is set for a remake, according to reports. The 1992 film, which also starred Kevin Costner, made a reported $411m worldwide when it was released 19 years ago and also spawned a best-selling soundtrack album. Screenwriters Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer have been commissioned to write the script for the new flick, while Dan Lin will produce and Mark Bauch will co-produce. The original film, directed by Mick Jackson, told the story of a secret service agent, played by Costner, who is assigned to look after a singer (Houston), after she is threatened by a stalker. But his job is put in jeopardy when he falls for the star. According to US entertainment website Deadline, the new film will also be a love story, but the bodyguard will be an ex-Iraq war veteran instead of a former secret service agent....

Lindsay Lohan jiggled into court Wednesday but couldn't wriggle out of a necklace stealing charge that could land her in jail with some really mean girls.

The low-cut black top Lohan wore to march up what's become her personal catwalk - the courthouse steps - did not sway Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz.
He gave the "Mean Girls" actress a stark choice - proceed to trial for swiping the $2,500 necklace, or cut a deal with prosecutors and get six months in the county jail.
"If you plead in front of me, if this case is resolved in front of me, you are going to jail," Schwartz said. "Period."
Before leaving, Schwartz asked Lohan if she understood her options. "Yes, your honor," Lohan replied in a raspy voice.

Lohan did not signal what she would do, but the plea deal prosecutors offered her lawyer got a cool reception, sources told the Daily News.

It would place Lohan on three years' felony probation for the theft and require her to serve six months for violating probation in her 2007 DUI case, the sources said.

Outside the courthouse, Lohan's pop said she doesn't really have a choice.



"She's going to have to go to trial," Michael Lohan said. "I know she doesn't want any jail
Earlier this month, Lohan raised eyebrows - and caused a run on skin-tight white minidresses - when she showed up for court wearing one.

It remained to be seen whether Lohan would do the same for cleavage-revealing black tops matched with high-waisted white pants.

Lohan has pleaded not guilty to felony grand theft - a charge that could send her to prison for up to three years, if convicted.

She could end up in the slammer sooner than that if the judge at the preliminary hearing yanks her bail after deciding there's enough evidence she violated her probation again.

The actress got a taste of life behind bars last spring, when a judge sentenced her to two weeks for skipping her court-ordered alcohol education classes.

I have to get a subscription to Purple magazine. I’ll have to learn to read French first but I think it would be worth it. They always have the most cutting edge photo shoots/advertising/celebrities and it seems much more interesting than any of it’s US counterparts.

Purple’s latest conquest is getting Lady Gaga to do some nude/topless ads for the brand Supreme. I know, she’s naked and topless alot but this time we have a video of the photo shoot with uber-photog Terry Richardson. It’s actually more interesting than I thought it would be to watch them work together than I thought it would be.

The divorce has become official with the signature of the L.A. County Superior Court judge, TMZ reports.
TMZ is reporting that Kelsey and Camille Grammer's messy divorce is to be finalized on Thursday, three days after the long-time couple came to a preliminary deal to end the marriage. While the financial aspects of the deal are unknown thus far, the pair had been haggling over big money: Camille had been demanding $50 million, while Kelsey had initially offered $30 million. They did not have a prenuptial agreement.

The split became very public through court documents, interviews and Camille's new found fame on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." On the show, Camille said that she had begged him not to leave; subsequently, she opened up about their struggles with intimacy.

While Camille says she never wants to get married again, Kelsey will be a bachelor for about two weeks. He's already engaged to former flight attendant Kayte Walsh, and the pair has planned a lavish wedding in New York City on February 25th.

In fact, Camille was invited, but declined the invitation. The two women have met, a meeting Camille called uncomfortable.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- These days, Anne Hathaway is a busy woman. Or make that a busy catwoman.

The 28-year-old actress is training for the physical demands of her lead role as catwoman (and its sleek, physique-revealing catsuit) in “The Dark Knight Rises” as she flexes her comedy muscles alongside James Franco as co-hosts of Sunday’s Academy Awards.

“There’s a lot going on, but it’s all really super-duper positive,” Hathaway said between fittings Wednesday. “I feellike I have a big fight coming up and everyone’s giving me the thumbs-up and the ‘you’ll-rock-it’ fist pump. I have unbelievable support.”

The Oscar team is helping Hathaway and Franco find their funniest material, she said, and the producers “are making it as easy as possible on me.”

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange can be extradited to Sweden on sexual assault allegations, a British judge ruled Thursday.

WikiLeaks boss Julian Assange can be extradited to Sweden to face allegations of rape and sexual assault, a British judge ruled Thursday.
The 39-year-old Australian has been fighting extradition since he was arrested and bailed in December.
He has vehemently denied the allegations made by two women in August last year, calling them a "smear campaign" against his whistleblower website.
Assange's lawyers have a week to appeal the decision.

Judge Howard Riddle ruled the claims made by the women were extraditable offenses and a Swedish warrant was issued properly.
"There is simply no reason to believe there has been a mistake" in issuing the warrant, Riddle said.

Earlier this month, Assange's legal team argued that he would not receive a fair trial in Sweden.
Assange is concerned an extradition to Sweden could make it easier for him to be handed over to the U.S. on possible charges relating to WikiLeaks' release of top-secret U.S. cables.

The accusations in Sweden stem from the two women who maintain Assange refused to wear a condom during sex - and refused to take an AIDS test.

Assange will now be detained in custody, according to London's Guardian, because there is no bail in Sweden until a possible trial or release.
He could face up to four years in jail if he's found guilty.
Approximately a dozen WikiLeaks and Assange supporters gathered outside the court before the hearing on Thursday, holding signs reading "Free Julian Assange and Bradley Manning," the army private suspected of leaking the U.S. cables to WikiLeaks.

Ke$ha was the musical guest on SNL last night, April 18, 2010 where she sang her number one hit ‘Tik Tok’ and ‘Your Love is My Drug’. Ke$ha’s performance of Tik Tok was a bit tame compared to her performance of ‘Your Love is My Drug’. Her wardrobe for ‘Your Love is My Drug’ was a take-off of the band that backs the Blue Man Group. Kim Kardashian has a new boyfriend, but don't expect her to rush into the marriage-and-baby stage.
When asked in a new interview about her plans to have kids, she told Extra, "Not anytime soon."
She did confess that she's left herself a little wiggle room, adding, "But I never know what the future holds."
Kardashian, 30, seems smitten with her new man, NBA star Kris Humphries. "I think I haven't found one thing wrong with him, let's just put it like that," she said with a laugh.
