Fans will get to hear a never-before-heard Kishore Kumar number which will be unveiled online on Wednesday, the 13th of October, the eve of the singing sensation’s 23rd death anniversary. Reports claim that Kishore Kumar recorded a naughty, comic number on the lines of ‘Ladkiyon ko chahiye woh college mein seekhlein’ for the film “Rehnuma” which never saw the day of light. The Madan Mohan composition of the 1970s, too, thus got shelved and will be released on the musician’s website on Wednesday.
The Kishore Kumar – Madan Mohan partnership created a lot of waves back in the 70s and was also the prime reason for a film to be declared a hit in the past Bollywood era. Speaking on behalf of his father, Madan Mohan’s father Sanjeev Kohli said that the unreleased Kishore Kumar track is entirely different from the ones the audience are usually accustomed to hear from a Madan Mohan composition, stressing on the fact that just like any other Kishore Kumar track this one, too, is unique in its own way. The song was written to complement a particular situation in the film and what will appeal to the listener’s ears is the parody and the comic voice of the legendary singer.
Accompanying Kishore Kumar as singer, the website will also reveal the singer in Madan Mohan when he sings to some lines of his own composition.
Another song from “Rehnuma”, ‘Aaj mujhe jal jaane bhi do’ was released the previous year as part of the album “Tere Bagair”.
