Long Island Business News reports that Grumman Studios in the Bethpage area of Long Island is being readied for The Avengers.

Marvel Studios will build sets on the massive lot next month, with the production using all seven of the facility's stages. Grumman Studios president Parviz Farahzad told the site that filming will take place there for several months, although it wasn't clear when they would actually start shooting.

The 30-acre complex also housed the production of Angelina Jolie's movie Salt. It was previously said that The Avengers would be filmed on the West Coast, though it isn't clear if the entire production will be shot at Grumman Studios in New York, or not.

The Avengers comes to theaters May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Clark Gregg, Tom Hiddleston. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.
