William H. Macy has joined the new Elmore Leonard adaptation Freaky Deaky, according to Deadline New York.

William H. Macy will portray Woody Ricks, an alcoholic millionaire who has an affinity for show tunes, showgirls and avoiding explosions. The story centers on a group of radicals who were best known for blowing things up in the 1960s and now, in the 1970s, use those explosive skills to become entrepreneurs.

We reported last night that Charles Matthau, son of acting great Walter Matthau, will be directing from his own adapted screenplay. No production schedule was released for the movie.

Freaky Deaky comes to theaters in 2012 and stars William H. Macy. The film is directed by Charles Matthau.
