James Gandolfini and Saoirse Ronan have joined the upcoming movie Violet and Daisy for director Geoffrey Fletcher.

Variety has the news, part of which was reported last month. Bruce Willis was reportedly in talks to star in the movie, although he wasn't mentioned in this new story. The earlier report indicated that Saoirse Ronan and Carey Mulligan had been attached to star, although it wasn't clear if Carey Mulligan or Bruce Willis are still on board. The first report also noted that Danny Trejo was in talks for a role in Violet and Daisy and it is unclear if he has signed on also.

Precious screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher will make his directorial debut from his own script, which follows two teenage girls who become assassins. They take on a job that was supposed to be quick and easy but takes a turn for the worse when the man they're supposed to kill isn't who they expect he is.

Filming is scheduled to start in September 27 in New York City. We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further casting updates on Violet and Daisy as soon as we have more information.

Violet and Daisy comes to theaters in 2012 and stars Bruce Willis, James Gandolfini, Saoirse Ronan. The film is directed by Geoffrey Fletcher.
