James Cameron Producing True Lies TV Series

Filmmaker James Cameron is making another foray into television, taking his 1994 hit action movie True Lies to the small screen, according to Deadline TV.
James Cameron will executive produce the series with Jon Landau and Rae Sanchini. René Echevarria wrote the pilot and will also executive produce. René Echevarria was an executive producer on James Cameron's only TV venture, Dark Angel, and he will also be tapped as the showrunner if True Lies gets picked up to series.
No plot details were given, but it was said that the project is currently being shopped around to networks. James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Television are producing the series.
The 1994 movie starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis and Tom Arnold. The movie centered on family man Harry Tasker (Schwarzenegger) who lives a secret life as a spy and, when he learns that his wife (Curtis) is seeking adventure, Tasker decides to give his wife just that, while accidentally involving her in a Middle Eastern terrorist threat.

True Lies was released July 15th, 1994 and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold, Bill Paxton, Charlton Heston, Tia Carrere, Art Malik, Eliza Dushku. The film is directed by James Cameron.
