The Story:Huduga Hudugi movie is a very ordinary story with no regular jerks in the narration. Sachin (Dhyan) a television channel anchor is known for his style and attractive measures. The opponent channel anchor Sonia (Lekha Washington) is asked to join Sachin in getting more knowledge and trick. This is what Sonia dislikes. But it is inevitable for Sonia to join Sachin in hosting programs. It is when Sonia is depressed because she is not able to suit the boy her parents have selected the intelligence of Sachin works out. The ordinary looking Sonia turns ultra modern and obviously Raj Deshpande (Pramod Hegde) takes liking to Sonia. As the days pass Sonis finds the aristocratic style of Raj Deshpande is overburden in leading the life. When Sonia comes again to Sachin it is time for Sachin to narrate his tale of woes.The movie goes to a flash back. Sachin grooming up middle class girl Sada to become a doctor is in fact ditched. Sada after becoming a doctor takes a liking to suit her status.Before the curtains down Sachin and Sonia decide to become life partners. In the tale of two woes sizzling girls Ileana, Biaenca Desai come and go in a dance number. Journalist-turned-director Indrajith Lankesh returns after three years to make another fun film which carries his signature style. His earlier films were surely high on style and glitz quotient, but as far as story content was concerned, it could be surely called a remix or collage of some Bollywood blockbusters and other non-Kannada films. His new film, ‘Huduga Hudugi’, is no different.
What you see in the film is just good-looking glamour girls dancing on various numbers. Indrajith himself shakes a leg or two in one of the promotional songs of the film. Actress Bieanca is also seen in a climax song.
Sada, the heroine of Indrajith’s earlier film ‘Monalisa’, shares screen space with Dhyan in a few sequences and is also seen in a visually enticing song shot abroad. Two other heroines, Sanjjana and Anita, also get their share of screen space but it is Lekha Washington who gets the biggest piece of the cake.
Huduga Hudugi Movie Review:
The talented director Indrajith Lankesh knows very well the need of the present generation. Either style or invigorating screenplay only brings the film viewers to the theatres. In fact he has followed the style more and given second preference to the bracing narration forgotten the story part of the film.
The opulence seen on silver screen, the lovely faces utilized for the film the technical work par excellence and passable comedy are the redeeming features of this ‘Huduga Hudugi’. Even a small character in this like Master Sujal takes credit for lively presence shows the director dexterity.
The scenes are bright but the only need was the impeccable story for the lovely effort of this director.
After hiccups Sachin (Dhyan) and Sonia (Lekha Washington) turn good friends. Sachin supportive attitude to Sonia solves some of the drawbacks she was facing. When Sonia finds a match in Raj Deshpande it is again Sachin who extend support. In the process Sachin’s saga of ditching by a doctor Sada comes before the audience. That is nothing but opportunistic feeling found in our society today the director emphasized.
When Sonia is about to tie the nuptial knot with Raj Deshpande the director gives a new ground to the life of Sonia and Sachin. To know it you have to watch this passable film.
Dhyan has done his job precisely. Lekha Washington in modern costumes looks pretty. The prettiest are Ileana and Biaenca Desai who come in one song each. For Sada this is not a challenging role. Master Sujal steals the show. Sharan once again lend healthy comedy and Rangayana Raghu is in his usual wit imitating a television show character.
Imitating the television channel character director Indrajith Lankesh makes a dash against his friends. The two songs of Joshua Sridhar are superb but Ileana Ileana…..is the best. Indrajith Lankesh in a song number in the beginning is in a flashy style.
Gundulpet Suresh has devoted himself in giving good cinematography. Every frame in this film is crystal clear to view.
Times pass film for the youths! No doubt it is a paisa vasool!
