If sources are to believe, Puneet Rajkumar's Jackie and Sudeep's Kichcha Huchcha are all set to face off at the Sandalwood Box Office. It is said that both the Kannada films are releasing on 15th October. The bosses of the movies are making efforts to book all important threatres across the state. Especially there is a tough competition to book the theatres like Santosh and Narthaki in Bangalore.
The big-budget movie Jackie, which is the most-expected movie of the year, has been directed by Slum Bala fame Suri and produced by Raghavendra Rajkumar. Starring Puneet Rajkumar and Bhavana in the leads, the movie has been shot in the beautiful locations of Somwarpet, Kushalnagar, Bangalore and Mysore. A few song sequences have been shot in African nations like Namibia and Austria.
The film has five songs and all have been written by Yogaraj Bhat. The music of the film was released in August and songs like 'Shiva Antha Goguthidde...', 'Edavatha Aithu...', sung by Puneet, and title track 'Jackie...' have already become very popular and created lot of curiosity among the audience. Moreover, the distribution rights of the film are said to have been sold for more than Rs. 10 crores. The bosses of the film say that it will set a new record in Sandalwood.
Another Kannada movie Kichcha Huchcha has been directed Gurudatt and produced by K Manju. The film features Sudeep and Ramya in the lead roles. V Harikrishna has composed music, which was released at a grand function in the Capitol Hotel Bangalore in the last week of August. It is remake of hit Tamil movie Chiththiram Pesudadi and the producer hopes that its remake in Kannada will also do very well at the Box Office.
However, both Sudeep and Puneet Rajkumar are leading actors of Kannada film industry. Earlier, Puneet's movies like Namma Basava and Milana had faced a tough competition from Upendra's Auto Shankar and Anatharu, but they were successful at the Box Office. But now Gandhinagar pandits are keeping their finger crossed whether Jackie will face the competition from Kichcha Huchcha and rock at the collection centres.
