The funeral of Kannada actor Naveen Mayur, who died of jaundice at 5.30 pm on Sunday, was held at Banshakari Crematorium in Bangalore on Monday afternoon. His cremation was attended by his family, relatives and friends. The sad part was that despite acting in several Kannada movies, not single film fraternity was present at his funeral ceremony.
The mortal remains of Naveen Mayur, who stayed away from limelight despite struggling very hard, was kept at his Puttenhalli residence for last darshan of his friends and fans. Later, his body was taken to Banshakari Crematorium in Bangalore, where his body was burnt to ashes on Monday afternoon.
Naveen's mother was totally in a shocked condition after loosing her young-aged son. "He had suffered jaundice problems for two to three times before. On Saturday, he returned from Dhramastala and he was suffering from the same decease again. This time, some parts of his body were infected and stones were formed in his liver. The moment he entered the house on Saturday, he seemed totally in helpless condition. He literally fell on the ground," she expressed her grief to a private TV channel.
Talking about the sudden demise of his son, Naveen's father said, "He vomitted three to four times on the way back from Dharmastala to Bangalore. Immediately after reaching home, I requested him to go to the hospital, but he preferred to stay at home stating that he often faced such problems during journey. Instead, he requested me to get him medicine for hangover and I got him the same immediately. Later, we rushed him to the hospital, but could not save him."
However, Naveen Mayur debuted in Kannada films with Sunilkumar Desai directed movie Sparsha, which featured Sudeep in the lead. Later, he acted in movies like Lava Lavike, Upendra's Uppi Dada MBBS, Poorvapara, Ninagoskar, Preeti Mado Hudugarigella, Nanna Hendti Kole, Avanandre Avane, Neela and Hello. Naveen's sudden death is a great loss to Sandalwood.
May his soul rest in peace.
