Last night it was the turn of the band Weezer to exactly upstage the following couple of acts on the main stage. These US rockers sent the strong 69,000 strong crowd into a wild frenzy after the band played some of their biggest hits till date. They played a set list that included songs like ‘Beverly Hills’, ‘Buddy Holly’ and ‘Pork and Beans’. These are some of the songs that had initially propelled the band into super stardom.

Apart from such hits like ‘Beverly Hills’, ‘Buddy Holly’ and ‘Pork and Beans’, the band also launched into an awesome version of the song ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ by Wheatus. This song brought forth a mixed reaction from the crowd; they were amazed as well as puzzled. They were also amused and sang their hearts out for this popular number that featured in the Jason Biggs -Meena Suvari movie Loser.

Weezer lead vocalist Rivers Cuomo proved to be a fantastic worth for money as far as frontmen are concerned. His stage antics were something to die for and he pranced as well as threw himself onstage with a lot of energy and even kicked a football around; he also did climb over the sustaining fences in order to sing for his captive audience.
