Screenwriter Max Borenstein has been hired to write the upcoming thriller Art of the Steal for Warner Bros. with Zac Efron attached to star and produce, according to Variety.

Borenstein will write the script based off an article in Wired magazine by Joshuah Bearman, and centers on a seemingly ordinary man who moonlights as a thief, pulling off a string of elaborate and well-planned heists. Zac Efron co-produce the action movie with Kevin McCormick, Jason Barrett and David Klawans.

A director hasn't been attached as of yet and we have no word on a production schedule as of yet. Borenstein is also writing The Man from U.N.C.L.E. for Warner Bros.

Art of the Steal comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Zac Efron.
