Director R Chandru, who has done Kannada films like Taj Mahal and Prem Kahani, has got married in Bangalore on Sunday. The Kannada film director tied knot with a girl called Yamuna at a wedding function held in KNS Convention center near International airport, Bangalore. The muhurtha of his marriage, which was a grand event, was held between 9.15 to 10.15 am 5th September 2010.

Before this, R Chandru had hosted a grand reception at the KNS Convention in Bangalore on Saturday evening. Several Sandalwood celebrities, directors, producers, film journalists and family relatives attend the function. Kannada actors like Shivaraj Kumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Ajay, Tarun, Pooja Gandhi, Sanjana, directors MS Ramesh, Mahesh Babu, Yogish Hunsur, Prashanth, producer Kanakapura Srinivas and lyricist Kaviraj attended the reception and blessed the newly-wed couple.

However, R Chandru is known for his original and realistic movies. Currently, he is busy with the shooting of the movie Mylari, which features Hat-trick hero Shivaraj Kumar, actresses
Sada and Sanjjana in lead roles. Recently, the film had hit the headlines after the shooting of the song 'Gallu Gallenutha...' at Abbaiah Naidu Studios in Bangalore. Chandru has almost completed the shooting and is gearing up for the post production works.
