Actor Karthi has now leapt towards the A-League of actors with his 4-consecutive blockbusters. Starting his journey with ‘Paruthiveeran’, his long sabbatical gap was followed by hat-tricks in 2010 that includes: ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, ‘Paiyaa’ and recent release ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’. His next film ‘Siruthai’, a remake of yesteryear Telugu blockbuster ‘Vikramarkudu’ is rolling fast on floors. According to the closer sources, the film’s shooting has been 60% completed.

The film is about a petty thief (Karthi) along with his sidekick (Santhanam) involved in conniving acts. The thief somehow manages to woo down a gorgeous girl (Thamannah Bhatia) and they decide to get married. But a sudden twist tale throws a heavy blow on him as a small girl claims him to be her daddy. Unable to deal with the situation, he starts unraveling the mystery involved and finds that she is the daughter of a police inspector (again played by Karthi). What unfolds next is a series of events that lets the thief to settle scores for the sake of police officer.

The film is directed by debutant Siva, once an associate of director Bala and is produced by K.E. Gnyanavel Raja of Studio Green Productions.
