New York (ANI): Comic legend Jerry Lewis took a jibe at Lindsay Lohan’s latest rehab stint, saying that she needs spanking on her bottom, to put her where she belongs. Lewis, who was in New York to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Friars Club, has now softened his tough-love position on the troubled actress.

Lewis made headlines last month when video surfaced of him saying he wanted to 'smack' Lohan 'in the mouth' and 'put her over my knee and spank her'. The comic accepted his award at the Friars headquarters on E. 55th St. and dined there with director Quentin Tarantino.

When asked what he made of Lohan now that she'd entered rehab for the second time in as many months, Lewis, 84, called the ‘Mean Girls’ star a 'fresh, dumb broad' who “needs a spanking on her ass to get her to put herself where she belongs!" reports the New York Daily News.

He elaborated, however, that she belongs "in a good place that has good stuff!"And, he added: "she'll find it!" Lewis' award consisted of a bust of his head, which he turned into the punch line of a racy joke.
