eRc Box Office is reporting that the upcoming sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance has been set for a February 17, 2012 release date.

Nicolas Cage has returned to star in the sequel, which is currently shooting in Bucharest, Romania. Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are directing the movie from a script by David S. Goyer. The project is being shot in 3D.

We reported in August that the plot will feature some sort of connection to Dracula. We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further details on Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance as soon as we have more information.
