Sri Lankan team Wayamba which will be led by Mahela Jayawardene have been sponsored by 'Musli Power' a 'sex enhancer' for the Champions League T20 tournament starting next month in South Africa.Musli Power is basically a herbal product designed to assist with sexual disorders and enhance sexual pleasure.
According to the manufacturers, Kunnath Pharmaceuticals, Sri Lanka's top provincial side will adorn jerseys with 'Musli Power' prominently displayed as part of the sponsorship agreement. Wayamba qualified for the Champions League T20 after winning the inter-provincial T20 tournament in Sri Lanka this year.
However, the endorsement hasn’t gone down well with Sri Lankan cricket supporters as there have been several moral and ethical questions being posed about the association.
According to the 'The Island' report, Secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket Nishantha Ranatunga wasn’t even aware what Wayamba were going to endorse during the Champions League when he attended the media briefing and the board has privately admitted that it was a mistake not to check things before sitting. And the worst, the product was endorsed on a Poya Day.
