Sharvanand and Ruby Parihar are playing the main leads and Saikumar playing an key role in this movie and This film does not speak about one aspect but it speaks about different aspects. The story of this flick will revolve around three characters.
Ruby Parihar playing the role of Latha in Prasthanam film. Latha is a medical student with cosmopolitan outlook.
Prasthanam Telugu Film Reviews :
Story: story starts in 1980’s. Dasaratharama Naidu (Balayya) is the sarpanch of Maanakonda(Near Vijayawada), after serving the post for 25years he faces some rivalry. As he wants the elections to be unanimous he drops out from the election voluntarily, but his son Kesava(Ravi Prakash)announces his candidature. Kesava gets killed by the opposition in the mean course.
Dasaratharama Naidu asks his faithful follower Lokanatham(Sai Kumar) to marry his daughter-in-law and take care of his grandchildren. Lokanatham agrees to that and marries her. He has his own son Chinna (Sandeep Kishan) and step son Mitra (Sharvanand). Mitra follows his step dad’s path and becomes an active part in politics and always sticks to good.
Lokanatham continues in politics and becomes the MLA of Gannavaram. He also announces that his step son Mitra is his political heir. Chinna hates this decision (and some other reasons not mentioned here) and develops grudge on his dad and brother….
What is the end of this high voltage emotional drama is the rest of the story.
Artist’s Performance: Sharvanad’s role is like a pivot to the entire story. His acting was very good especially in emotional scenes.
There is no better choice for the role of Lokanatham than Sai Kumar. His voice delivered the punch and depth required for the role.
Ruby Parihar’s role is better justified when called as a Extended supporting actress rather than heroine. She has nothing to do with the story and appears only for the songs sake.
New guy Sandeep Kishan was good at playing greedy younger brother to the hero. Chakravakam Madhu(Guy who played the role of Basha) and Dil Ramesh (He played durga prasad) have done good job and deserves a special mention. Vennela Kishore was wasted. Surekha Vani, Rashmi Gautham, Jeeva played their roles well.
Technical Details: Deva Katta’s second venture is a complete contrast to his debut movie. Prasthanam is a 3 hour movie which focuses on human relations and emotions. Though not completely a political story it has the flavors. He scored well for his dialogues. He should have shortened the length of the second half as it appears very lagging at parts.
Music by Mahesh Shankar is good.
