Raqmoji Rao is making a film titled “Betting Bangarraju” under his banner Usha Kiron Movies which is being directed by E Sathi Babu. ‘Allari Naresh is the hero and Nidhi is making her debut as heroine. The story is written by Lankapalli Srinivas and dialogues by Nagaraju Gandham. “Betting Bangarraju” is described as an out-and-out rib tickling comedy.
In a coastal village lives Bangarraju (Naresh) and he is the son of a village elder. He is a compulsive gambler and with luck always favouring him, he wins all the bets. When there is a proposal for marriage to him, the girl rejects him because he is a gambler.
Then, Bangarraju decides to got the city romance a girl and marry her. He tries roman-tricks with a couple of girls and fails. He chances upon meeting Divya (Nidhi). But she gives a twist to the marriage proposal.
She invites four prospective grooms including Bangarraju to her village so that her parents can select the most suitable groom. The other three are: a Rayalaseema faction leader, a Telangana real-estate tycoon and a NRI chess grandmaster.
The rest of the story narrates how Bangarraju becomes successful in convincing Divya’s family that he is the most suitable husband.
