She is in love with an old childhood friend she hasn't met since a long time‘Ullasa Utsaha’, the Kannada remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Ullasanga Utsahanga’, stars Ganesh and Yamee Gautam from Chandigarh in lead roles (The original had Yasho Sagar and Sneha Ullal in lead roles.) Yasho Sagar’s father B.P.Somu, who had produced the Telugu version, is also producing the Kannada version along with his brother B P Thyagaraj.
As the title itself suggests, this is a refreshing, rejoicing love story. The Telugu version, had lived up to its title with a fresh screenplay. Director Karunakaran, who has some hits to his credit including ‘Tholi Prema’ has penned the story and screenplay for the film.
Devaraj Palan who has been associated with the Kannada film industry for the past 18 years and who has worked with the likes of Prabhakar, Omprakash Rao in various capacities like assistant and associate director, is wielding the megaphone for the first time in his career.
G V Prakash Kumar, nephew of music director A.R.Rehman and who has scored music for Tamil films like ‘Veyil’, ‘Kuselan’ etc, is the music director of the film. Prakash Kumar had provided the music for the Telugu original also. Three of the hit tunes from the earlier version will be retained, while Prakash Kumar will be composing two new songs for the film..
