London, Dec 4: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is the man of the moment. The world is watching him and is the most wanted man on the Interpol list. The star-hacker is in the limelight for revealing secret US diplomatic cables and has chosen to mess with the most powerful country in the world.
Assange, though has a plan B, to carry out the damage even in his absence. He has revealed that he has sent out 100,000 encrypted versions of secret files in case anything happens to him.
With the mounting death threats against him and his colleagues because of the damaging leaks, he has put in an insurance policy of a different kind this time. He claimed that that the whistle blowing website will not be silenced at any cost.
There have been efforts to bring down the website through hook or crook. "The threats against our lives are a matter of public record. However, we are taking the appropriate precautions to the degree that we are able when dealing with a superpower," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
Assange also praised the U.S. Army intelligence analyst Bradley Manning who has been accused of leaking the documents to him. He spoke in the wake of reports when wikileaks was believed to be 'killed', but re-emerged in a new address based in Switzerland, wikileaks.ch.
Assange is believed to be in the UK and has arrest warrants and could be extradited to Sweden soon.
