The Story:
Ratha Charithra is based on lives of two bigwigs of Andhra Pradesh; Parithala Ravi and Maddalcheruvu Suri. In which, Vivek Oberai playing the role of Paritala Ravi on whose life the movie is based on, Surya portrays the character of Maddalcheruvu Suri, and Paritala Ravi’s opponent.Ramgopal Varma’s trilingual film “Raktha Charitra” is creating hype day by day. Tamil version of this movie was titled as “Ratha charitharam” and the audio was released on Thursday (September 30th) evening in Satyam Theater, Chennai. Ace director Maniratnam released this audio and popular bollywood’s senior actor Satrugna Sinha received the first copy.
Rakta Charitra is a two-part Indian biographical film based on the life of Paritala Ravi, produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film features Vivek Oberoi in the role reprising Ravindra, and Suriya as Suri, whose part appears predominantly in the second part. Shatrughan Sinha, Abhimanyu Singh, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sushant Singh, Priyamani and Radhika Apte among others play other supporting roles
On this occasion Ramgopal Varma said that he started his career with the support of Nagarjuna. He also said that he liked director Maniratnam very much and he added that Maniratnam didn’t like his movies. Ramgopal varma has more expectations on “Ratha charitharam”. He said that he has chosen all the characters that could do justice to their roles in this movie.
Ramgopal varma was very much impressed with Hero Surya’s dedication and his passion towards his profession.
Surya, Vivek Oberai and Satrugna Sinha played the lead roles in this movie. Tamil version “Ratha charitharam” is being produced by young producer Daya Nidhi under ‘Cloud nine’ banner.

Actor Surya has been signed to perform the other lead role of Maddelacheruvu Suri – a Bengal based gangster hatching deadly plans to kill Ravi. Recently, the first look posters of Surya released have created more sensation in town and next set of pictures will have Priyamani and Surya together as they play lead pairs in this film.
It’s worth mentioning that Raktha Charitra will be simultaneously release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi with the same star-casts.
