Shiv Sena has been protesting the participation of two Pakistani artists Veena Malik and Begum Nawazish Ali in Bigg Boss 4 since the inception of the show. Now, it is reported that the political party has called a ‘bandh’ in Lonavla, where the Bigg Boss house is located.

Neelam Gorhe, the spokesperson of Sena, was quoted stating that the Colors channel ignored their repeated requests of removing the two Pakistani contestants from the reality show. She added that the Colors channel had been served a show cause notice by Pune District Collector. The notice was to enquire why the show have not been stopped when it has been disturbing the law and order issues at Lonavala.

Gorhe informed that a demonstration will be held today by Sena workers at Lonavla. They have decided to hold a procession demanding removal of Pakistani contestants from the show.

Veena Malik the Pakistani model turned actress, become popular for her infamous relation with Pakistani cricketer Mohammed Asif and later disclosing the details related to match fixing. The other Pakistani participant Begum Nawazish Ali is a cross dressing host, who anchors a popular chat show in a Pakistani channel. Both of them have gelled well with other housemates in the show and are fetching lots of TRPs for Bigg Boss 4.
