PESHAWAR: Olympian athlete Sadaf Siddiqui demanded from the government and media to help in lifting her two-year ban.

Talking with Geo News, Sadaf said that players are not aware that what medicines should be used during nay illness. She had taken a medicine to cure the fever due to which her doping test was found positive. She would have avoided that medicine if she was told before.

Sadaf said that an awareness drive should an awareness drives should be launched to educate the athletes about banned drugs.

The international athlete said that after serving the two-year ban her career would be finished but she wants to give good performance for Pakistan in international events.

She told that she called on Minister Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Aqil Shah at Olympic Secretariat here on Thursday and discussed about banning her by PSB panel.

Sadaf disclosed that she had appealed before the appellate tribunal within the next 14 days but it was rejected without any reason.

She requested to the minister for giving her chance to appear in national games.
