Actor Abbas returns to Kannada films with Appu Pappu

South Indian actor Abbas, who was a big name in Tamil films in the 90s, has come back to the Kannada film industry after a long gap of 10 years. Earlier, he has acted in the Kannada movie Shanti Shanti Shanti with renowned actors Madhavan and Prakash Raj, which was released in 2000. Now, the actor is back to Sandalwood with Soundaraya Jagadish's film Appu Pappu.
Speaking about his comeback, Abbas says that he was supposed to work on a movie for Rockline Productions after his first Kannada film. He was required to shoot mostly in America and the 9/11 attacks happened at that time and he could not attend the shooting there. The actor adds that he does not know what happened to that film thereafter. Following this, he received many other Kannada film offers but he did not find them exciting or lucrative enough.
Informing about Appu Pappu, Abbas says that it is about a little boy and an orangutan. He is playing father of the young boy and the movie deals with a family oriented subject. The actor said he has got a very lovable character to play in the film, which mainly explores the father-son relationship. Abbas said that he could easily relate to the emotional scenes of his character as in real life also he has a little son.
Abbas adds that it has been a fun journey for him to shoot for the film. He had most of the fun times while shooting in Cambodia as cast and crew used to hang out together after pack up.
