The Story:
Shikkar movie tells about a strong relationship between a father and daughter. Director by Padmakumar ‘Shikkar’ will be superstar Mohanlal’s latest malayalam movie to be released. Naadodigal actress Ananya will be doing the role of Mohanlal’s daughter in ‘Shikkar’. Lakshmi Gopalasamy comes as Mohanlal’s wife in this movie. Other cast includes Kalabhavan Mani, Suraj Venjarammodu, Lalu Alex and Jagathy Sreekumar. Shikkar will be picturised at locations including Kothamangalam, Idukki, Adimali, Tuticorin and Hyderabad. The Music of this movie shikkar will be by M.Jayachandran. Shajil Rajagopal will be producing Shikkar movie under the banner of Sreeraj productions. In Shikkar, Mohanlal will be playing the role of a lorry driver named Balaraman, who transports commodities between cities in South India. Balaraman is a man with haunting past and he is living to complete his revenge. Scripted by S Sureshbabu, Shikkar is expected to be an Onam release.
Shikkar is the latest malayalam movie featuring universal star Mohanlal in the lead role. The movie is confirmed to release on this thursday (on 09.09.2010). Shikkar is all about the story of a wounded father hunted by some unknow persons and how he is taking revenge against kidnappers of his daughter. As the name indicates, shikkar is something different which is told in an unsual way.
Lastday the movie has censored and got a clean U certificate. The Shikkar Preview Reports shows it will be a complete family action thriller with thrilling action sequences only to meet the situations. The first half of the movie is fully family oriented with nice comedies and some action sequence which will thrill fans too. But second half will be a visual treat with an unseen powerpacked performance of Mohanlal. The movie is said to witness the range of the actor in Mohanlal once again.
The movie has got already much hype with the dare acting of Mohanlal and Ananya. Also Univesal Star Mohanlal tweeted that balaraman in shikkar is one of his best roles and the film features the best action he has done in his career. Anyway the movie will be a visual treat for all. The biggest trend change is that, the movie has a story and a message. The director had a good job through out the movie.Still couldn’t understand why there is a role for Sooraj Venjarammodu.Could understood the role of Jagathy and through this character the story could lead to the ending.Mohanlal did the job very well and the songs are apt to the story. Lalu Alex, Kalabavan Mony etc had done a good job.Very limited role for Sneha and her presence was there through out the movie.
The story os all about a man with haunting past and he is living with a hidden past.In the last there is a good message to the public and the authorities. the story matches with the current issue of the country.The art direction and cinematography should get a good applause because as a viewer, I could enjoy the hilly area greenary and the beauty.
Surely the movie a good entertainer and worth watching. Also it would compete with Mammootty’s Pranjiyettan. I am waiting for the movie to come to the city theatre because I am expecting something from Renjith & Mammooty team
