G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra director Stephen Sommers is looking to direct Odd Thomas, according to Production Weekly.

The movie would be an adaptation of author Dean R. Koontz' Odd Thomas novel series, which he started in 2003. There have been four books (Odd Thomas, Forever Odd, Brother Odd and Odd Hours) and two graphic novels in the series. The books center on a character who can see the dead and, although he cannot speak with them, tries to help them solve their problems.

We reported last month that Stephen Sommers is returning to direct the Untitled G.I. Joe Sequel. It isn't clear yet when the sequel would go into production, or if this Odd Thomas project would go before the Untitled G.I. Joe Sequel.
