Bangalore, Jul 10: Looks like there is some competition for Paul, the octopus, as a parakeet in Singapore has taken a large bite into the psychic limelight by predicting that Netherlands (Holland) will win the FIFA World Cup 2010.
Mani, the parakeet's prediction came hours before the world-famous psychic Paul's prediction on Friday, Jul 9. The octopus who resides at Sea Life in Germany's Oberhausen prophesied that Spain will be winning their maiden World Cup title in 2010.
However, Mani seemed to believe that it is going to be the Dutch, who will be grabbing their first World Cup trophy. The fact that the parrot's prediction was contrary to the prophesy of the octopus, that had gained massive credibility over its past predictions, seemed to be fueling Mani's say to the media headlines.
According to Mani's master, Mr Muniyappan, the psychic Parakeet, like Paul, has a spotless record of accuracy. The parrot had reportedly picked up the right winners during the quarter finals and also favoured Spain over Germany in the semi-final tie.
