Plot Summary:
Neelambari movie moves around two girls Lakshmi (Vidya) and Parvathy (Bhama) who were born and brought up in an Agraharam. Parvathy lost her mother in her childhood and was brought up by Lakshmi’s mother.
Parvathy fell in love with a music teacher Devanath (Vineeth). One day Devananth’s grandfather reached Agraharam to propose Parvathy with Devananth but for bad luck he reached Lakshmi’s house and her mother cunningly made arrangements to marry Laksmi.
Understanding the situation Parvathy left Agraharam. Many years later Lakshmi happens to meet Parvathy in a pilgrim centre. Bhama play the role of Parvathy, Vidya as Laksmi and Vineeth as Devananth.

‘Neelambari’ is a treatise on music and romance, and holds a mirror to real life. Parvathy (Bhama) loses her mother at birth. Parvathy is brought up along with Lekshmi (Divya) by the latter’s mother. The two girls share the same thoughts, dresses and even dreams.
Parvathy and Lakshmi join the Music College, where Parvathy falls in love Devanand, her lecturer. However, Devanand’s grandfather has other plans in mind. He hopes to get his grandson married to Laskhmi. This drives the two girls apart, and Parvathy finds herself abandoned on the streets.
Hari Narayanan who had bagged the Best Debutante Director Award for his film ‘Nanthuni’ tells a heart warming story in ‘Neelambari’. In the words of the makers themselves, ‘Neelambari’ would be a class film that would appeal to the common viewer.
The film has a huge star cast that has such names as Vineeth, Anoop Menon, Bhama, Divya, Harisree Ashoka, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Kalasala Babu, P Sreekumar, Anoop Chandran and Ambika Mohan in it.
Produced by Premanandan under the banner of Sreelekshmi Creation,s the film has been shot on locations at Palakkad and Palani.

Director Hari Narayanan who has won the Best Debutante Director Award for his film 'Nanthuni' is coming up with his next movie 'Neelambari'. Neelambari is a female oriented movie tells the story about two girls Parvathy and Lekshmi. Bhama is doing the role of Parvathy and Divya is doing the role of Lekshmi.
Parvathy (Bhama) lost her mother at birth and she is brought up by Lekshmi's mother. The two girls live together as good friends and they share same dresses and same dreams. Later both of them joined music school and Parvathy fell in love with her music teacher Devananth. Vineeth is doing the role of Devananth.
One day Devananth's grandfather reached Parvathy's house to propose Parvathy but unfortunately his grandfather made an agreement with Lekshmi's mother and they decided Lekshmi in place of Parvathy. By knowing this Parvathy left their house and after some years later Lekshmi met Parvathy in a pilgrim centre.
Anoop Menon is doing the role of a lorry driver annd Suraj Venjarammoodu is doing the role of an Astrologer named Vamanan Namboothiri. Other cast in the movie include Harisree Ashoka, Kalasala Babu, P Sreekumar, Anoop Chandran and Ambika Mohan.
Premanadan is producing Neelambari under the banner of Sree Lakshmi Creations and dialogues and screenplay by Hariprasd Harilal. Shooting of this movie is progressing at at Palakkad and Palani. Neelambari is planning to release on last week of June.
