Telugu flick “1940 Lo Oka Gramam” has won many accolades so far. That includes four Nandis and a national award as the best regional movie.
However, the movie has not released for some or the other reason. Directed by Narasimha Nandi, it stars Bala Aditya and Sri Ramya in the lead. It is based on a novel by Gurujada Apparao. The movie is about a village set in 1940s. The film is based on a couple who share a friendly relationship in this village.
Once the village heads come to know of the same, they announce punishment to the girl who ends up in great humiliation. The flick is said to have some intense moments and is expected to be in a different genre from the regular commercial ventures.
