The ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus is helpless to save his family from Hades, vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
“He’s just your golden hero that you’re meant to follow,” says Worthington of the old Perseus. “I feel when my Perseus starts out, he should be this bombastic tank. The gods have killed his family. He’s Charles Bronson! He’s gonna go for revenge, and the best way to achieve that is to kill the Kraken. Well, to kill the Kraken you gotta kill Medusa. To get to Medusa, you gotta take on the witches. Then once he kills the Kraken, he’s gonna kill fuckin’ Hades and Zeus and everybody else! But along the way he needs to learn to calm down, ask for help. And out of that comes the true hero. A hero isn’t someone who leads men; a hero is someone that’s in the trench with the men.”

Whoa! Here’s the second (but first full) trailer for Louis Leterrier’s “Clash of the Titans” that goes the same pulse-pounding music route as the teaser but packs on the action something fierce for a full two minutes. This is apparently not an official trailer release, so the studio is pulling them pretty fast over on YouTube and elsewhere, but I did find a couple of versions that were still online. Check it out below. And really, any movie that shares my Alexa Davalos tied up fantasies can’t all be bad.

Anyways, three new posters for Louis Leterrier’s upcoming “Clash of the Titans” remake courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. Empire Online has Sam Worthington in his “Clash of the Titans” remake wardrobe on their cover this month. Inside, there is an article on the movie and interview with the star, in which Worthington proclaims, “we’re not in fuckin’ Harryhausen mode anymore”, which, er, is definitely going to rub some Ray Harryhausen fans the wrong way. Empire tries their best to save the Aussie from fanboy outrage, but you decide if they succeeded.
