Reviews

'Decent Parties' is the fourth film by PRO-turned-director Abraham Lincoln, who had earlier directed 'Mazha Peyyumbol', 'Krishnapakshakilikal' and 'Anamika'. Produced under the banner of Mekkunnel Creations, 'Decent Parties' is a light hearted entertainer, with family sentiments and humour being given importance.

'Decent Parties' has as the central character Sudheendran, who is a photographer by profession and who runs a photo-studio named Padma Studio, named after his mother. In the meantime Sudheendran gets a chance in films as an assistant cameraman, with help from his friend Rafeeque, who is a production executive in films. In the meantime it's learnt that Sudheendran has a talent in script-writing. However, Sudheendran somehow gets into trouble, and with that things take a new turn. It's the dreams of this photographer-turned-assistant cameraman that forms the plot of 'Decent Parties'.

Jagadeesh plays Sudheendran, while Meera Vasudev is his wife, Sreeja. Salim Kumar does the role of Rafeeque, while Jagathy Sreekumar plays the key role of a moneylender named Porinju. The producer Vincent Mekkunnel (Vincent Abraham) too plays a key role in the movie. He becomes Pappettan, who is a guru-like figure to Sudheendran and is the President of the Photographers Association in Sudheendran's hometown. Saikumar does a key role too. Mukesh does a guest role in the film, playing himself.

'Decent Parties' is scheduled to hit the screens on September 2, 2009.
