London, June 8 : Actress Angelina Jolie will reportedly reprise her role as Evelyn Salt for the sequel of "Salt" after Sony Pictures commissioned writer Kurt Wimmer to press ahead with a screenplay.
According to deadline. com, Jolie has always been open about wanting to do a sequel of the movie because she thinks there is more to discover from her character.
"I'd love to do a sequel. You never know if you're going to get the chance, if audiences are going to love it. But particularly with this character, I think there is so much yet to explore in her life with her - with her family, with coming to terms with who she is in the end, because of the way it's set up, she could be anybody," contactmusic. com quoted Jolie as saying.
"She could be in any country, she could speak any language, and so we have a lot of opportunities. As an actress, and somebody who loves to travel, it would be nice to be able to explore the world with her," she added.
The 2010 release "Salt", directed by Phillip Noyce, was about a CIA agent - played by Angelina Jolie - who goes on the run after a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy.(IANS)
