India’s longest running investigation series ‘C.I.D’ is going to be made into a full-fledged Bollywood film very soon. Sony TV has successfully run the show for last 12 years. The show is soon going to have its big screen avatar, which will be made fully entertaining with an item number.
Producer BP Singh claims to offer lots of action and drama. He says that they have been planning for this movie since last three years but could not be materialized. Singh says that the team needs to make the movie very innovative in terms of technology as well as storyline to attract the loyal viewers of the show.
Singh informs that the project is still in the stage of writing and pre-production but they are aiming to release it in 2012. Since beginning of the show, Shivaji Satam has remained the main protagonist ACP Pradyuman. We have been used to the characters like senior inspector Daya, senior inspector Abhijeet, inspector Fredericks and Dr. Salunkhe. This team of detectives work for the Mumbai Crime Investigation Department (CID). They usually work on murder mysteries.
However, Singh adds that the film version will have a totally different investigation case, which will also have scope of some songs. They want to make the movie commercially viable and are planning to make Daya shake his leg in one item song. Daya is now seen competing in the dance based reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4’, which is being considered to be a learning session for him. Singh says that people are stunned to see a huge elephant like Daya showing his dancing moves in a competitive show.
We hope, the fans love the movie the same way they loved the TV series.
