MUMBAI: At the Apsara Awards function, Shahrukh Khan wants to perform to a medley of songs with numerous leading ladies of Bollywood and he wants to conclude the dance number pairing with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and grooving to the tune ‘Kajra Re’ from the film, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ but to his surprise Aish declined to shake a leg with King Khan.She justifies her refusal, “Her argument was that ‘Kajre Re’ was a family song and that she performed the number in ‘Bunty aur Babli’ only with her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and husband Abhishek and that she will not dance to that song with anyone else”.
In the past too, Ash refused to share screen with Salman Khan due to some ugly spat. In 2003, she issued a press release saying, "For the sake of my well-being, sanity, my dignity and the self-respect of my family, I will not work with Salman Khan anymore. I maintained a dignified silence but he attacked the dignity of my family and me with irresponsible rumour mongering. I stood by him, enduring alcoholism, misbehaviour, and in turn I was at the receiving end of abuse, infidelity and indignity."
