Tulip Joshi, however denied the allegation and said " I had fallen ill and even mail the number of doctor so they could cross-check. I was waiting for the production house to call back for shooting, but I found later that they had replaced me with another actress. I had blocked the dated for the film because of which I lost out on other assignments and money"

The director the film Sohay roy said, "We have lost Rs. 50 lakhs because of Joshi. We don't know how the distributors will react to a new actress" . Line producer of the film, Vinod Unnithan said they had singed Tulip Joshi for Rs. 14 lakhs and paid her Rs. 8.5 lakhs as advance. After two days of shooting, she wanted to go to Delhi and promised to come back. We booked her tickets but we got a call from her saying that she was not well. She asked us to postpone the shoot, which we did. Later, she alleged that her role was not good enough and didn't want continue with the project. We replaced her with Megha Burman, a new comer.

Unnithan said, " I even visited the flat at Pali Hill, where she had signed the contract, but she wasn't there. Her friend threatened us that he had connection in high places and would shut down our production house."

Joshi refuted these allegations. Her friend, Vinod Nair, too denied the charges. "Unnithan walked into my house and demanded Rs. 1 crore from Tulip.
