Dabangg darling Sonakshi Sinha started her career in 2008 as a model and has strutted her stuff on the runways of Lakme Fashion Week in 2008 and 2009, including for fashion designer Pallavi Jaipur. And we can tell by the way she shows off her sexy curves on the cover of the December issue of Maxim!After modeling for awhile, Miss Sinha made her debut in Abhinav Kashyap’s movie Dabangg in which she plays the role of Rajo opposite Bollywood star Salman Khan, who portrays Chulbul Pandey.
But despite her background in fashion, Sonakshi insists she is not a ‘brand freak’ and has revealed in an interview that, “I do wear branded dresses. Brands don’t really matter. You can find great clothes on the street as well. But if you have the money, then you usually shop at branded stores. So I don’t know whether I really am a brand freak.”
The model turned actress has also admitted that she has lost of weight lately and that she tries to stay fit, “You know I have lost 30 kgs in the past one year. I was studying Fashion Designing. During this time, I decided to get into modeling. So I just had to lose weight. So I’ve been swimming, cycling, running for the past one year – and it’s paid off.”
In spite of her success on the silver screen, Sonakshi says she is not hell bent on becoming an actress full time and will only accept offers that enthuse her: “Often, lawyers children become lawyers, the same with doctors. I did my Fashion Designing course from SNDT and I loved it. I will pursue it if I get some good offers. But I am not an actress. I am a fashion designer,” she told reporters.
