Powerstar Puneet Rajkumar and Bhavana starrer Kannada movie Jackie has got grand opening across Karnataka. The much-hyped movie is successful in impressing most of the film critics. It has simple story with good songs, fight comedy and excellent narration and these aspects have helped the movie in bagging rave reviews from movie critics.

The following are the reviews for the film Jackie:
Suri has woven a story with many underlying messages, mainly exposing the big, bad world of human trafficking. Puneet has outdone himself playing Jackie. The film belongs to Suri and him, along with cinematographer Sathya Hegde and composer V Harikrishna. The four of them have worked their charms, which translates into a wonderful film, the DNA review.

The intriguing bit is that nowhere in the film hero's real name is revealed. Even the character played by the leading lady is mentioned by name only once. But, it does not really matter. The film’s fast pace does not leave enough time to dwell into such details, or even take a breather. In fact, there is hardly any time even to laugh at the witty one-liners, get caught in the dramatic scenes or worry about the storyline, the Bangalore Mirror review.

Jackie is an action-cum-love story, but it is different from usual trend. Puneet Rajkumar rocks the audience with his electric performance. The highlights of the film are Harikrishna's music, Suri's dialogues and screenplay, Sathya Hegde's cinematography, Rangayana Raghu's comedy, stunts, art and costumes. There are a very few minus points, which are ignorable, the Oneindia review.

Jackie opens with a bang. Puneet makes a powerful impact in the very stylishly shot intro song that also features director Suri, lyricist Yograj Bhat and music director Harikrishna. The story that follows however fails to grip you with the same intensity. The first half goes in a prolonged establishment of the lead characters. Even scenes of Puneet as a child actor add little weightage. Songs creep up at regular intervals too but that can be pardoned as they are a delight to watch. The film's pace picks up in the second half as Rangayana Raghu with Puneet's assistance lights up the screens in his police avatar, the Rediff review.

Jackie is one of those films that make you feel satisfied and proud of being a Kannada film fan. From the word go, there is hardly a trick director Suri misses in keeping the audience entertained as well as engrossed in the narrative. During the proceedings, it is hard to realise that there is a complex story hidden in the compacted dialogues, quick-fire shots and speedy scenes, the Chitraloka review.

Puneeth Rajkumar, the super power star of Kannada cinema, the power in him continues. ‘Jackie’ is a package of fabulous action, dance and dialogue delivery in this film is very close to the heart. In the technical department too, ‘Jackie’ is much higher in the scale. There are some new elements tried out in ‘Jackie’ that is new to the Dr Rajkumar family’s production and technical superiority, the film gives a fine placement for awards, the Indiaglitz review.

Director Soori has not come out from the rugged places and awkward atmosphere that is where the poor and down trodden live. The locations look natural in the talkie portions and in songs the grandeur is cynosure to all eyes. Understanding the image of Power star Puneeth Rajakumar director Soori with dialogues, screenplay by himself gives a different film. There is no doubt about it. The introduction of strong characters, the colloquial languages the appealing to the front benchers Soori has done a splendid home work. Showing the places with places the film is always with sound and activities, the Super Good Movies review.

However, Tamil movie Endhiran and Kannada movie Pancharangi, which were released a few weeks ago, are still running houseful. Besides this, Sudeep starrer Kichcha Huchcha has hit the theatres this weekend. Jackie might have received decent reviews and grand opening, but it should be seen whether it will face the competition of these movies and rock the Box Office.
