Gautham Menon has recently completed the first schedule of Nadunisi Naigal, a psychological thriller and will soon kick-start the second schedule of Hindi remake of his very own Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya(VTV), which features Prateek Babbar and Trisha in lead roles.

The filmmaker’s closer associates have said that Gautham's other project Thuppariyum Anand will hit the floors by March 2011, soon after the release of Hindi VTV. A.R. Rahman will be scoring music for this film and Manoj Paramahamsa handles cinematography with Anthony on editing.

According to the sources, Thuppariyum Anand is based on Tamil novel Thuppariyum Sambu that was written by Devan in the early 20th century. Set in backdrops of 1930s, the book centers on Devan, an ordinary clerk, who solves crime on fluke. The movie was supposed to feature Ajith Kumar in lead role. But the duo parted ways due to creative difference and Surya is reported have replaced Ajith.

Apart from his own directorial, the filmmaker is busy producing couple of films – Veppam and Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai. Veppam is directed by newcomer Manju, once an associate of director Gautham Menon while Susindran handles direction for Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai.
