Movie News:
After numerous press conferences, hype and drama stirred up by North Korea’s sinking of the Cheonan, the war movie 71-Into the Fire was finally set to open in movie theatres on June 16th amidst tension on the Korean peninsula.
Ahead of the public opening, a special VIP premiere was held this evening on June 8th at Lotte Cinema near Konkuk University. With a stellar movie cast including the likes of Kwon Sang Woo, Cha Seung Won, Kim Seung Woo, Big Bang’s T.O.P. and many more, you can certainly expect a lot of stars to grace the event.
The list of stars who attended the premiere include Yoon Do Hyun, Kim Jae Dong, Kim Nam Joo, Son Tae Young, Jung Woo Sung, Lee Ji Ah, Soo Ae, Yoo In Na, Park Bom, Kim Sun Ah, Jung So Min, Jung Joon Ho, Oh Man Suk, Lee Tae Sung, Lee Hyuk Soo, Kim Min Jong, Kim Tae Woo, Gong Hyung Jin, etc.

On June 2nd, Big Bang’s T.O.P. attended a special press conference for his role in the upcoming movie 71-Into the Fire. A special screening of the movie was presented before the press conference and it’s been reported that T.O.P. cried after the movie ended. It seems the movie is a real tear-jerker.
The movie is based on a true story where Kwon Sang Woo, T.O.P and others play 71 student soldiers who are outnumbered but fight valiantly to defend a strategic point against the advancing North Korean army led by Cha Seung Won. Kim Seung Woo plays a middle ranking South Korean officer.
The movie will premiere in Korean cinemas on June 17th. Check out photos from the press conference below.

Two weeks ago an unofficial trailer for 71-Into The Fire circulated across the internet and it was quickly taken down. Now, the official trailer for the movie has been released.
The war movie is based on a true account of the Battle of Pusan Perimeter in August 1950. It revolves around 71 South Korean student soldiers and stars Kwon Sang Woo and Big Bang’s T.O.P. The students fight against hundreds of regular North Korean soldiers (led by Cha Seung Woo) during the deadly Korean War.
